I watched many of the games of this series live via this channel, and it was great how the commentator had his own board to demonstrate the next few moves and explain the players' thinking. It was really interesting and relaxing.
In all my years of computers, few projects have impressed me as much as Wine. It still feels like it shouldn't be possible, and yet, it works wonderfully.
If a large percentage of miners stop mining, the difficultly will be adjusted so it's easier to mine Bitcoin. The difficulty is tuned such that blocks are solved every 10 minutes, regardless of how many miners are working.

I don't mean to be snarky, but I love Threadless and I had no idea, so maybe that's why they're shutting it down.
Sinatra is one of my all-time favorite libraries. To me, it is the ideal microframework for rapidly prototyping websites and APIs
* 1 big box
* 1 "bubblewrap" cooler bag
* 2 huge ice packs
* Misc. plastic bags for produce
* 3 small paper bags for "extras"
The box and the refrigeration setup are definitely wasteful (even ignoring the environmental cost of shipping it), but the packaging on the produce is pretty minimal.I think this doesn't address the real problem though, which is that ratings reset after every app update. This means that app developers have to constantly ask for reviews, which is exhausting as a user.
