dkroy··on Tackling the 'Excel Problem' in small businesses
I am assuming that there is a reason that you are hiding the prices? I failed to find them anywhere on your site.
dkroy··on The Biggest Lies of Mainstream Nutrition
There may be certain tricks you can use to help you do this, but in the end it is all calories-in vs calories-out. The hard part is the hunger that results from this deficit.
dkroy··on Ask HN: Which hosting company to use for a small SaaS product?
I would be interested in hearing how that works out for you. So far their offering has looked to be the most tempting for me.
dkroy··on Ask HN: Which hosting company to use for a small SaaS product?
Wow, how can they afford to be so cheap?

If you want to use SSL though you will have to at least shell out $50 a month.
dkroy··on Portable-VirtualBox needs a new main developer
I am pretty sure you will be more likely to attract more developers, and more active developers by putting it up on GitHub. There is also the added benefit of moving from svn to git. Keep in mind this is all speculation.
dkroy··on Portable-VirtualBox needs a new main developer
You should throw this up on github, bitbucket or codeplex. DVCS always seems to work best for this type of development.
dkroy··on Remove watermarks from PDFs/papers with pdfparanoia
This is from the github page: "pdf watermark removal library for academic papers"
dkroy··on Show HN: my weekend project – browse jobs posted to HN
I still only have iOS5 installed, so it may work with the updated OS and applications.
dkroy··on Show HN: my weekend project – browse jobs posted to HN
It shows up blank in both Safari & Chrome on my IPhone.
dkroy··on AP Credit Will No Longer Be Accepted At Dartmouth
I know that the AP system is under-fire, but this just screams money grab technique to me...
dkroy··on Show HN: Ink for iOS
I cannot download it, if you can, please make it for the iOS 5 also.
dkroy··on Ask HN: would you pay $2000 now to host forever?
I believe I would, depending on the restrictions.
dkroy··on The product qualified lead
It would be hard to not "buzz" about PQLs, but they are by no means "free" even if you didn't pay for lists of PQL's, and gathered the data for yourself. They take time and effort to develop.
dkroy··on Adobe Gaming
I love the responsive website.
dkroy··on Valve plans to sell apps via Steam ranging from “creativity to productivity”
I appreciate the correction, thanks guys.
dkroy··on Google cuts Cloud Storage prices another 10% after Amazon S3 price cut
Yeah that was my view on it, although I can see if they slow down a bit this can be good for the customer. This all just seems a little too quick.
dkroy··on Google cuts Cloud Storage prices another 10% after Amazon S3 price cut
Price wars this never ends well, where have I seen this before...?
dkroy··on Show HN: JobBoard.io - SaaS platform for niche job boards
Alright, I understand now. Well good luck, I would be interested to hear how successful this SaaS offering ended up being a month or two down the road maybe submit a blog post on HN later on, that definitely would be an interesting read. Good Luck, it looks really polished at first glance.
dkroy··on Show HN: JobBoard.io - SaaS platform for niche job boards
Do you have any paying customers for this new payment model of jobboard.io? Has this been less of a pain or an improvement in sales or reduction in support hours?
dkroy··on Social Database Patterns
I found their github page, maybe that will do for now: https://github.com/fatiherikli/dbpatterns
dkroy··on Sensation of playing at 60 FPS, despite in reality running at 30 frames
This is very clever brain hack, and very interesting to hear.
dkroy··on Brain-Enhancing Drugs For All
Can anyone let me know if these are legitimate? I have heard things about them in the past..
dkroy··on Heroku Privacy Policy Has an Application Error
Haha, yeah I was just going to read it for once, and boom found it.
dkroy··on HTML Datepicker
Take a look at http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4811123
dkroy··on HTML Datepicker
How did this make it to the front page? People write this every day. If I am missing something please let me know because then I may just have to fork it.
dkroy··on 4Chan Founder Moot Sends Cease and Desist Letter to Startup Moot.It
It would be if it did, but it doesn't. Both technologies are pretty neat, but if you go check out each of them you will notice that they are very different. Canvas is an image-centric social website, which also does a significant amount to replace desktop editing tools for desktop. While moot is Disqus with websockets.

Edit: Oh, and a forum component. Also, I think Moot.it are trying to sell a product, while Poole seems to be building another community.

dkroy··on Behind Mark Pincus's Bid to Save Zynga
I hate that someone linked this in an article in the hopes that we would pay for the whole thing, by the way thanks for linking the full article in the comments whoever did that.
dkroy··on Interview: Linus Torvalds – I don't read code any more
Okay, I should have read your post, we wrote the same thing...
dkroy··on Interview: Linus Torvalds – I don't read code any more
Very very clever title, this is an example of context giving a different meaning. He still reads code, just not from his trusted network of kernel developers since he has worked with them so long, and it has already gone through a few layers of people. He also doesn't want to shoot down all of their hard work.
