devrundown··on Show HN: Million Bricks – a 3D tower of one million bricks you can buy for $10
Very cool
devrundown··on Show HN: An 8-bit live gamecast for baseball
This is really cool! Would love a technical breakdown on how you put this together.
devrundown··on What the fuck happened to nerds
Sick of the trend of having swear words in the title. From blog posts to books, it's getting quite old and is not very creative.

This reminds me way back when you would see "Website written in Notepad" on websites.

devrundown··on Show HN: Vibe-coding video games with Claude (Day 14: Tetris)
Cool idea, curious to know what language/framework you are using for the games.

Would also be interesting to see the prompts used to create them.

devrundown··on Ask HN: Any interesting niche hobbies?
> Ham radio is hundreds of sub-hobbies in a trench coat

Really good way of putting it! POTA can be a lot of fun.

devrundown··on Show HN: Channel Surfer – Watch YouTube like it’s cable TV
This would be amazing to be able to use on a TV with a remote!
devrundown··on Ask HN: Which book are you reading these days?
Just finished up the first two Game of Thrones book. Before continuing wanted to check out a couple of other books.

Read Shadow Divers which was really good. Saw it suggested a lot and it did not disappoint.

Now reading The Pearl by Steinbeck and Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers by Grant Naylor.

devrundown··on Ask HN: What are your best purchases under $100?
Ham radio is a huge rabbit hole. It's a hobby full of other hobbies within. One of the most fun parts for me is Summits on the Air (SOTA).

You take a small portable HF transceiver up a mountain summit and attempt to make at least 4 contacts. You get points for "activating" the summit and folks at home get points for "hunting" you. You can also spot yourself online and sometimes you'll have a bunch of people from around the world trying to make contact with you.

Thanks for the advice!

That's amazing. I've been looking at getting my first fish tank lately with my kids. Seems like a lot to learn. Any tips for a newbie?

https://www.bookmarkstuff.com

Another itch of my own to scratch but thought I'd see if I can make some side income as well.

It's a web based bookmark manager with extensions for Firefox and Chrome.

You can easily import and export bookmarks so you have all your data whenever you need.

One main thing I really like that I think makes it stand out is the ability to export the contents of a bookmarked page to an epub file to read later on your Kindle or other e-reader device.

Looking for any constructive feedback on this! Thanks.

devrundown··on Ask HN: Any example of successful vibe-coded product?
I like the coffee one!

devrundown··on Map of all the buildings in the world
Would be great to somehow incorporate this into a game where you can play in any city in the world.
devrundown··on Netflix to Acquire Warner Bros
Well UFC and WWE are both part of the TKO group.
devrundown··on Netflix to Acquire Warner Bros
I'm pretty sure WWE would have an exclusivity clause that would prevent another pro-wrestling program on Netflix. But who knows!
devrundown··on Show HN: Microlandia, a brutally honest city builder
This looks great! Will purchase.
devrundown··on What Was the First Bookmark?
That's a really good point that I didn't consider! I'll check into that and possibly post a followup. Thanks for the comment!

devrundown··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (Nov 2025)
Hey thanks so much for checking it out.

It is annoying when some of the stations don't work. I've done an initial try at filtering them out without much luck but will try again.

Good idea about the country filter.

Thanks for the feedback really appreciate it!

devrundown··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (Nov 2025)
Thanks for the link to that 20 games challenge. Godot is fun and something I want to get back to eventually!

https://RadioPuppy.com - Listen to 1000s of online live radio streams.

This is a pet project for myself. I love listening to online radio while at work, helps me focus. But I didn't really click with any of the current selection of web apps out there so decided to build one myself.

It uses the great API available at radio-browser.info for all the radio information.

Been using it as a way to learn how to market a website as well. Learning a lot.

I welcome any constructive feedback.

devrundown··on Ask HN: How much time do you spend reading books?
I read 1-3 hours a day. Usually 1-2 hours reading on my Kindle before bed. Then another hour or so via audiobook while walking, doing chores, in the car etc...

But sometimes I will go through a slump, then see a book that really looks interesting and get into it.

Don't feel bad about starting a book and then not finishing it. Life's too short to read books you're not into.

devrundown··on Show HN: I got fired so I built a bank statement converter
Looks really good. Simple and clean UI. Nice work.
devrundown··on Ask HN: What are you working on?
Wow cool that API has a ton of data. Anyway great job!
devrundown··on Ask HN: What are you working on?
Love it! Are you using APIs to gather the data? Really love the look and feel. Good job.

Allows you to listen to live online radio streams.

I wanted something with a minimal and fast UI and none of the other web apps I could find really fit my needs so I built this.

During work I like to listen to online radio so it seemed like a no brainier to make for myself and if others enjoy it to, even better.
