If you've got a question, or require linux consultancy, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Here's a snippet from my CV:
Good leadership skills and able to efficiently work alone or as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Extensive linux, networking and virtualization knowledge in parallel with windows desktop and server administration experience.
I realise that my writing style can sometimes be seen as abrasive, but I still don't think that I've done a very good job of explaining my surprise that a) GWAN exists at all, or b) people are actually using it..
I spent a whole weekend trying to get my head inside it, and eventually gave up, after wondering what on earth I was doing.
You can turn up some seriously interesting (scary) things.
I bet they'll put in for a transfer ASAFP now!
It's a great idea, and awesome achievement to go from nothing to working site in under 24 hours.
I think the slowest part of the entire process for us (the pdftribute team) was getting the domain registered, and the DNS propagated. Find some way round that bit, and it'll be awesome.
Knowing how to rebase in git would spring to mind as a useful skill. Or knowing how to run a code review session.
It's an entirely valid point. I know some devs who are 10 years younger than me, and far better in terms of their rails skills.
