deveshparekh··on A Man Who Stood Up To Facebook
I made a quick hack to demonstrate this a few years ago. I didn't maintain it and couldn't find another developer to take over, so it doesn't work anymore. http://devesh.github.io/SuperShareBox/
deveshparekh··on Zume, a new startup trying to make a more profitable pizza through robotics
The kitchen opens today at noon. Instead of speculating about whether having an oven in the delivery truck makes a better pizza, I'll order a pizza today and then order the exact same pizza in August when they start using their oven truck and see if I notice any difference. If anybody else wants to try, you can use my referral code (https://zumepizza.com/#/r/593698), which will give you a free pizza and give me a free pizza credit to fund the August portion of my experiment.

I just hope nobody from Zume reads this and intentionally sabotages today's pizza.

deveshparekh··on Google Calendar Unexpectedly Leaks Private Information
Just in case anybody took parent seriously, you shouldn't do this for the same reason you shouldn't flood their email inboxes about this. They will just mark your calendar invitation as spam.
deveshparekh··on The $179 Moto G hits the US early
You're perfectly free to disable them, which accomplishes the same thing as far as the user is concerned. The fact that the /system partition is mounted read-only for security and ease of system updates means you can't really delete them, but it also means you can't use that space anyway, so the ability to delete wouldn't be useful.
deveshparekh··on Amazon Analytics Service
Google Analytics is also for mobile apps and has been for a few years. https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection...

I came to the comments looking for a comparison. No such luck.

deveshparekh··on 'Grand Theft Auto V' Crosses $1B In Sales
Exactly which part of the Bureau of Labor Statistics methodology do you disagree with? http://www.bls.gov/cpi/cpi_methods.htm

Which part of the Billion Price Project's methodology do you disagree with? Its measure of inflation agrees with the BLS's pretty closely. http://bpp.mit.edu

Which measure of inflation do you prefer over those two, and where can we examine its methodology?

deveshparekh··on Show HN: Super Share Box breaks Social Network Lock-In
Author here. "Breaks" is perhaps too strong a word, but that is the eventual goal of this little experiment. I'm open to suggestions for how to get to that to that goal (and pull requests are appreciated).

I'll come back around lunch time to answer any questions.
