If OP had negotiated the contract in good faith, I don't think this would have been an issue, but if there were lot of assholery in getting that contract, the network is happy to stick it back
You clearly aren't getting my point.
I'm arguing for 100 biased-perspectives over 1 biased-perspective
The world in increasingly having more supply of money (savings) than before.
It doesn't look like from a median household perspective, but we have a glut of overall money
Mathematically Unions are there to serve the bottom 20% of the members while severely hampering / hindering top performers.
If you want to Union then please buy products / services from only Union shops and hire your local gardener, plumber from Union
Number of Firms that provide exceptional product/service with 100% union : ZERO
Number of Firms that provide exceptional product/service with 0% union : 1000+
The only people who are brainwashed are the progressives / liberals
Geez
VPNs, privacy tools. You name it. These so called self-proclaimed smart people were trained like a sheeple to buy stuff.
I can't find a decent plumber, lawn mower, handyman or a doctor. If the economic incentives pushes artists to acquire skills that are useful to society then we should accelerate that process rather than artificially propping up their skills with debt we can't service.
There will be a time for UBI, but that day hasn't come (Unemployment and Job Openings will be a clear indicator) of that.
Imagine if we propped up textile workers or blacksmith or shoe repairer just like we are planning to prop up artists, the world would be much worse.
Today anyone born in a Western Democracy has access to basic needs -- food, shelter, knowledge without having to do anything.
Also at the end of the day, every human needs to offer what is value to the society. So even though I'm an extremely good pen-twirler, if the society doesn't value that, I need to change bedsheets (which is more valuable) to make money.
So, I'm not sure why you need to protect "great voice" over "great pen-twirling" skills
They would be happy to get $1000 for signing away their amazing voice and music talent for a large corp who can spend $1 Billion collecting all kinds of voices.
If Mega Corp hires someone who can imitate Elvis and if they use it in their training data, it is completely fair game
It's as good as a right as an artist
Thank god for the first fish that swam out of the water and didn't wait for perfection
You no longer can mock "Please do the needful" from $1 / hr employees from India. They will be communicating at the same level as an average American and the smart ones can completely take over large fields.
A single person, can wear multiple hats and not get blocked.
This can apply at global scale of at least 4 Billion.
Just because you lack imagination doesn't mean it isn't good
Mission Accomplished!
These are opportunities to buy ABNB
Output always creates more work, due to second law of thermodynamics (entropy). So, the more output you have, the more work you need to fight entropy. May be the Robots can deal with entropy too, but we aren't there yet.
So, AI will increase need of workforce / labor
Humans have hired smarter men than the owner before.
At the end of the day, where there is attention, there will be ads. All you are fighting for should they show you relevant ads or irrelevant ads.
People who live a privileged life and have nothing else important going on in their life choose this hill to die on.
