Still super easily detectable even if they clone a MAC.

Takes real balls to go with AWS huh?
deadbunny··on 216M Spy TVs – The LG Smart TV Problem [video]
I'm not the one claiming TVs actively spoof their MAC address. Its on the person making claims to provide evidence.
deadbunny··on 216M Spy TVs – The LG Smart TV Problem [video]
Its always speculation that would be trivial to actually test.

1. Do not connect to network 2. Create unauthenticated WiFi network 3. Monitor WiFi network

Strange no one has ever done this simple af test to backup their claims

deadbunny··on Dwarf Fortress is getting the mother of all magic updates
Claiming the game of systems and their interactions is not complete or compelling because it doesn't hold you hand is laughable.

Not everything has to be made or everyone, in fact I would argue that is exactly the reason games these days are bland and identical.

Press "F" to pay respects.

DF is extremely fun.
deadbunny··on Dwarf Fortress is getting the mother of all magic updates
Why is it the games job to handhold you?

I'd assume the deployment isn't always over reefs?
deadbunny··on Quantum battery upends the rules of charging
From TFA:

It's superabsorption that's responsible for the battery's most surprising property. In classical physics, molecules are little individualists – each acting on its own and absorbing energy at a rate independent of the molecules around it. But with quantum effects, they're a little more collectivist: they "act in unison and synergise", says Quach. "So that the rate at which you can absorb energy increases with the number of molecules there are."

deadbunny··on Oceans hit highest temperature on record
Sounds super valuable, we should probably stop setting a finite resource on fire.
deadbunny··on Where did all the public bathrooms go?
Seems like the problem is the utter lack of mental health support to me.
deadbunny··on Where did all the public bathrooms go?
Good thing that stops the "destitute, on drugs, mentally ill etc" from doing this simply by removing the public toilets right?

deadbunny··on Europe's scorched landscapes seen from space after summer heatwaves
Which part of his statement is a) incorrect b) shaming anyone at all for buying aircon?

Aircon uses a ton of electricity, electricity generation is, at present, hovering around 50% from fossil fuels (in the EU as a whole[1]) which means all other thing being equal you'll be still pumping more CO² into the atmosphere further exacerbating climate change.

So yes, installing aircon everywhere would only make things worse. Those are just verifiable facts.

But you'll note he's not shaming anyone, as per the original claim.

But thanks for the rant, it was highly amusing.
