Current system might be flawed but China's is even worse.
Do you sit down and try to read and understand as much as you can? Or do you just read during your downtime?
A bad work/life balance will make your burn out fast but many don't realize bad mental health will lead you there just as fast.
I feel like the term (burning out) is just sugar coating depression because that's more sexy to talk about.
I don't think today's "influencers" are any different from yesterday's movie and TV celebs - we just now have better way to enable our vapidity.
Before we'd only have our direct entourage to compare ourselves to - now we have the whole world.
I think this phenomenon has always existed indigenously, similar to trends, it is now at a global scale.
If it wasn't designed just to cash-in on this issue, these could be actual art installations of the likes of Kusama's rather than extravagant photo booths.
Regardless of my productivity during the week, there are times during weekend where I wanted to continue working on a work project just because I genuinely enjoyed it or because there was something small I could do that would save a lot to the project/company and I did not mind at all.
IMO bringing work into your personal life does not necessarily indicate a poor work/life balance, being invested in your work either.
I've seen many people not press the buttons thinking it's just there as a placebo, it's mostly tourists though as it's common knowledge amongst Londoners that the button signals the traffic operating system that a pedestrian would like to cross.
Going as far as circumvent legal regulations and even pay to be able to do such a job is a good indicator that the person doing it is desperate for income.
Many people believe wealth should be shared, that everyone deserve happiness, and that no one should spend their lives slaving away just to survive, those same people would not try to profit off of someone desperate for income and willing to work hard and would consider what OP is talking about immoral.
I have almost always had a full refund (otherwise just partial for what was wrong/damaged) but what I really LOVED was how transparent they are throughout the process.
They message you when your concerns resulted in a ticket opening, when someone picks up your support ticket, when they are working on a resolution, and then when they found a resolution for your issue.
It's very seamless as well - I was experiencing issues on their web platform, DM'd support on Twitter, received info by email and on the UberEat app and at not time was there inconsistencies.
If it wasn't for the quality of their support team - I would have stopped using UberEats a long time ago.
No, that only means that they have enough disposable income to afford the service.
> Personality has also always been something the can be influenced by money. There is a reason why women would prefer rich "jerks" to poor nice guys.
The generalisation you make about women is really offensive, furthermore, you can not assume everyone favours income over personality in a partner.
In any case, dating, like a job hunt and many other aspects of our lives, comes down to weighting up your expectations against someone else's, if you're fine with attracting a partner because of your money, good for you.
We tend to only see the superficial personalities on social media mostly because they're the most vocal imo.
There is nothing inherently wrong with wanting to marry someone you love or consuming marijuana whereas crossing the street while essentially being tunnel visioned on a 6" screen is potentially very dangerous for yourself and, more importantly, others.
Alcohol should not be a key factor for people to network and have fun, especially in professional spaces.
