Pretty cool nonetheless.
If porn was found to be - without a doubt - bad for a certain age group, then yes I would get behind something where the government would limit its access to minors. This law, however, further stigmatizes porn instead of embracing it as just another weird thing humans do for entertainment.
(I want to make it clear that I'm not referring to illegal pornography. "Porn" where people get raped or that deal with minors is illegal)
This is a waste of time and money. Plain and simple.
If the author's goal was to make a parallel between using less technology and being mature and peaceful, I would have to disagree. The Amish are an interesting people, but thinking that their way of living should be the norm is a romantic response to how society uses technology in the wrong ways. I firmly believe that we can only grow by increasing the technology we use across all walks of life (education, resource management, communication, labour, etc.)
Either way, I don't have a problem with this as long as they aren't intercepting communications or anything private like my name and recognizing me every time I enter the store. If it's information that they can obtain without identifying me, there isn't much I can complain about. It's their store and as long as my rights are intact I'm cool with it.
Alternatively, we could set up a mesh of dropbox/cloud accounts. People would connect in pairs and generate their own huge files of garbage. Then they would copy it into each of their dropbox directories and it would propagate n times. If everyone does this every day (write a script to generate random data), there will be a continuous stream of randomly encrypted files across the network. When your cloud drive fills up, delete older files.
Then spread the word and give them something to spy on.
