dannyp32··on Paul Buchheit on Joining Google, How to Become a Great Engineer, and Happiness
Anyone know of similar articles or videos like this with career advice from great engineers?
dannyp32··on Learn SQL Interactively on Khan Academy
Does anyone know of a good data modeling course like this? I understand SQL, but I think I could still improve at data modeling.
dannyp32··on Google Store
Yea there's definitely a chromebooks section:

Currently they only have the Acer Chromebook 13 and the Chromebook Pixel.

dannyp32··on Show HN: World Cup Predictor 2014
I'd put a call to action right below this text to potentially get more sign ups. To be honest though I would like to see what it is before signing up. I can't really tell what I can do on the site from the landing page.
dannyp32··on Show HN: I built a Segway for under $300
This is really cool! Do you have any plans of documenting how you did it?
dannyp32··on Show HN: Distraction Free Reader/Writer
Any open source ones?
dannyp32··on Ask HN: Considering open sourcing our landing page. Any interest?
I would love to see how it was built. I'm quite new to web development, and I recently built my first sign up page, but have always wanted to learn how to build the nice animations that show up on many sign up pages.
dannyp32··on Free private Github repos for students and edu people
Bitbucket offers free private repos to everyone as well. And there's no need to fill out a special form. That's what I've been using for school projects.
dannyp32··on Show HN: What would you improve before promoting this?
I would definitely move the call to action button "Get Started For Free" to be above the fold. It seems like it would go nicely above the "Digital Project Spaces for Creative Teams" section.
dannyp32··on SoShare - Your free and simple large file delivery service.
Honestly curious, are all of the cost covered out of your pocket? How can you manage to maintain such a service for free? Looks great... I haven't found anything out there that will let you do this for free.
dannyp32··on [dead]
Not for me either.
dannyp32··on Review my startup idea
1. Yea I agree, but this won't be their personal money that they'll be spending. Typically university clubs receive funding from sponsors which the club uses for its activities.

2. Yes, that works and it's what we currently do, but after they sign up, the officers (at least in my club) use that info for other things, and they have to go through it manually if they're not experienced with macros.

3. That's a great idea. I think the simple member list would be my minimum viable product, and then I could continue to bring in features such as the ones you listed.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback.

dannyp32··on Released my startup MVP Outpost, begging for feedback
You linked to http://outpostp2p.com/##### which shows nothing. I clicked on the outpost logo and it took me to the home page, but I don't think people will bother giving you feedback if you link them to a blank page.
dannyp32··on Show HN: ProbablyTheMostRomanticThingEver
Not sure if this was done on purpose, but if you click on sign in with facebook and then hit cancel on the facebook dialog box, the card still opens... just a heads up.
dannyp32··on How to use Amazon S3 like you use CloudApp
I really like the idea. Maybe you could also add a prefix to the file and have it automatically upload into that folder. Lets say st_background.png and it will automatically upload to your static files folder and app_img_filename.png will upload to app/img/
dannyp32··on Show HN: My startup intro video
The video looks good, but why would I use your app instead of checking on yelp where more people have reviewed the "place"? Honestly curious why you think users should check your app instead of yelp?
dannyp32··on Announcing the new Jetstrap for Twitter Bootstrap Development
Please vertically center the text on those buttons!
dannyp32··on Hoodie: very fast web app development
As a new web developer I'm very interested in this. Looks like a not so complex next step after building basic static websites.
dannyp32··on Ask HN: Any good online webdesign courses?
Purely design or using css to bring your design to life?

Here is a good website for web design inspiration. Some of the best designers in the world are on http://dribbble.com You can see design patterns by regularly visiting the site, and some of them provide freebies so that you can see how they created their designs.

These sites also has some good tutorials: http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/ http://tympanus.net/codrops/

dannyp32··on The Country That Stopped Reading
Well that's not what the author means by illiterate. He uses it as a way of saying that they virtually never read books.
dannyp32··on Check out my new sports startup Chestbumpp
Accidentally commented instead of replying.
dannyp32··on Check out my new sports startup Chestbumpp
I'm hoping to launch by the end of the year. I'm a student as well, so I want to give myself enough time so that I can still focus on school. We're really excited about it though. It seemed to get a good response on betali.st
dannyp32··on Ask HN: What Mobile Apps do You Frequently Use, Why?
My favorite is Quora... it's a great resource for knowledge
