Well I personally am sick of seeing github profiles that are just a bunch of trash commits. List specific projects, what you contributed, and a link to who cares which service on your resume. Way easier to read

I have no idea what you're talking about I'm sorry. If you're talking about style and neatness in the same sense as style and neatness in literature it's just as important in code. If not then style and neatness is just an aspect of good grammar and simple hygiene, should be mostly done on autopilot. Maybe you have some other experience of pointless pedantry but I don't know what it is.

Its easier for new team members to understand consistently formatted code. Just one less thing to get in the way. Some people are too stupid to use an autoformatter though :P.

They are saying it's too expensive. I think it's too expensive too, and although it's not my area I think the AI is unnecessary for that cost; not every solution needs to have the latest trend shoehorned into it. Presumably people with sight issues are like me in not wanting to pay extra for the technology used.

Looks really nice! I've been using FX for years, looks like a lot of similar features, will have to try this.

I think it's more a sign that Go will eventually pick up (some of/all of) the features people complain of it missing, in time. Maybe when it's a complete language it will still be simple; maybe trying to keep it artificially simple now will hamper it later. Remains to be seen.

Love how github is basically a synonym for git now. I'm sure it's fine, homogeneity works so well everywhere else. Robust.

My work isn't what I would call highly professional in terms of infra, but for us the old URL from our Jira move is dead and gone (including the parent domain) but the ticket references work in the new instance (redirecting to a new project name also). I think you just have to pick your poison, nothing's going to work all the time without small amounts of effort from IT.
