dSebastien··on Why I Blog and How I Automate it (2023)
Building a Knowledge Management system based on that lifecycle is really valuable, because it defines a clear path from discovery to leverage.
dSebastien··on Why I Blog and How I Automate it (2023)
The Knowledge Management lifecycle he uses is the one I also follow and recommend.

I've documented it for myself here: https://notes.dsebastien.net/30+Areas/33+Permanent+notes/33....

I've also explained it, along with many related concepts and ideas in the course I've just released: https://knowledge-management-for-beginners.com

dSebastien··on How I blog with Obsidian, Hugo, GitHub, and Cloudflare
Obsidian is also the single source of truth for everything I create and share: articles, newsletters, courses, and even books.

I shared my communications plan here: https://notes.dsebastien.net/30+Areas/33+Permanent+notes/33....

This enables me to connect everything and to have a single place where I maintain the content.

My end goal is automating publishing and updates to all platforms from within Obsidian.

dSebastien··on MCP server for Ghidra
There are multiple directories already. I listed some in my notes: https://notes.dsebastien.net/30+Areas/33+Permanent+notes/33....
dSebastien··on What the heck is MCP? And why is everybody talking about it?
It's just a an RPC-like protocol and SDKs that implement it to help LLMs understand what they can do with other systems (eg GitHub, file systems, Obsidian, etc). It uses a client-server architecture where servers implementing MCP expose a set of commands and prompts to interact with a specific system. And clients (LLMs) can interact with the servers it knows about.

So MCP makes it easy for LLMs to interact with anything. And there are now hundreds of such servers.

I shared some notes about it here. Well worth exploring right now: https://notes.dsebastien.net/30+Areas/33+Permanent+notes/33....

dSebastien··on Obsidian is now free for work
Also for enterprises, being able to point to a different plugins source through config would be great. At work we're mirroring many things using JFrog Artifactory, giving us control and oversight
dSebastien··on Obsidian is now free for work
This is awesome news for the community. With a built-in multiplayer mode, it would be epic.
dSebastien··on Obsidian is now free for work
Yes, it works great.

I actually combine that, Git and Syncthing for different needs.

dSebastien··on [dead]
I've tried to better document my own Knowledge Management system, while preparing my course on this topic.

It may seem like it's "too much", but it's what works for me right now. And having a clearly documented system will help me refine it over time.

I store all I write in Obsidian, including my articles, my own books, my courses, my YT scripts, the quotes I enjoy, etc. It's really the engine for my writing activity.

Beyond that, it's also where I plan and organize all my work, from yearly plans down to daily tasks.

And it's where I hold my journal, where all the inputs and output go.

dSebastien··on The Must-Have Obsidian plugins for 2025
This is the updated version of the list of plugins I heavily recommend checking out.

Note that I've added a warning about the fact that new users SHOULD NOT waste their time diving into this right at the beginning, and should instead spend their time exploring the app and WRITING.
