Just saying that there are A LOT of fiscal optimizations - totally legal and publicly encouraged - to keep your taxes below 40%.
Otherwise, I can't agree more with you about the chance of accessing amazingly good healthcare services for free in France.
Here, Walter White would not have had to cook meth, after all...
You are confusing personal taxes (up to 60% if you're rich... and stupid) and corporate taxes (which ARE 33%). The rest of your post is just your own - subjective - opinions, but I can tell from what you think that you are NOT running a business in France.
By the way, I've fired 4 people in the past 6 months, and I haven't got sued. It's a question of doing it by the rules.
Thanks. The #pigeons did hurt a lot last year, and after a few months in SF and in Boston I've been amazed how many beliefs foreign observers have about the French startup ecosystem. You're probably right about France (vs) Europe. Would be happy to have some comments from European folks here.
I'm referring to the actual use of those words in the business everyday life to refer to a business 'chart', not to the use of those words in general. Of course the words "graph", "chart" or "data visualization" did not suddenly pop up at specific moment in the recent history. In your analytics, "graph" might relate to graph theory, linguistic, or music.
That's actually my point: the general layout is so idiotic that you even don't look critically at the meaning of each representation. Indeed I did not notice the mistakes you mentioned.
Not DIY => "Sure, but here's your opportunity for a startup."
Agree, that's actually the opportunity that our friends at infogr.am and visual.ly are digging.
