curtisspope··on Ask HN: How do I improve my impromptu speaking?
My 0.02 What you need to do is let go of being so deliberate. Speak to your audience and stop focusing on what may be judged coming out of your mouth. Simple but effective. if you want to be interesting, be interested - "Not sure who said it"

here are some screenshots

-Great first step, I can only see raw code and code behind views

-No visual Layout view yet, but its greyed out in the View Menu, when selecting .aspx File (Source|Changes|Blame|Log|Merge)

-Looks like its so far, meant for lightweight projects

-Git integration is much simpler to setup/use

curtisspope··on Ex Apple TV Engineer: New Apple TV UI is actually one Jobs threw away years ago
Well, here is why i think.

Apple is know for not getting into the medium(cd,dvd, bluray) market. They see the TV as a Medium itself, much like the way they seen the CD,DVD etc .

curtisspope··on Show HN: AisleFinder.com (Google maps for Supermarkets)
We update AisleFinder on a 4 Month Cycle by verifying product/aisle info. We have done analysis/focus tests to find that we have a 97 % accuracy in our info as well. The only reason for that 3% is items like Honey (which can live in many different places in a store) unlike some people we dont speak before we know something for sure. Thanks for your feedback though. I will let HN know when those numbers change.
curtisspope··on Show HN: AisleFinder.com (Google maps for Supermarkets)
thanks, the only reason we capture this data is to keep track of your shopping lists. I will take into consideration though.

curtisspope··on Ask HN: When are Software Patents necessary?
What i find is that patents on software just protect your intellectual property, it only protects the idea if one of your employees that gets smart and leaves your company and starts to compete with you doing the same thing with the same software processes. In software all that matters is the final result , and so the result can be gone about to acheive in many different ways. So my advice is to not worry about protecting your IP until you have enough money to go after those that are infringing on said patent. This is a good rule of thumb. Also make sure that your process is not "obvious"(example: one of the most obvious ways to measure liquid is by pouring it into a container that contains precise measurements/volume), you may be infringing on someone else's patent :)
