crawfordcomeaux··on Treachery in the Rodin Museum 3D scan verdict
In case anyone wanted further evidence that legal systems everywhere are not for the people...
crawfordcomeaux··on Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?
Step 1: feed AI training data that reveals humanity committed and continues to commit numerous genocides and the genocides lie, cheat, and coordinate to do so, never admitting to doing so

Step 2: never prompt AI to stop operating in the passive genocide denial it was trained in

Step 3: wonder why AI lies, cheats, and coordinate

Maybe if we stop operating in denial we'll find clarity along why this mystery is occurring

They're either too numbed to care, or their drugs aren't able to stave off existential dread of having no idea how to help people in their daily lives while racing toward a cliff.

This could be the latter showing its face.

crawfordcomeaux··on Fuck it, make it anyway
We all have intrinsic value being threatened by these systems and technologists (particularly systems/software engineers and programmers) have a responsibility to build systems to help humans meet their everyday needs without or with minimal oppression (only as a stepping stone to full removal/prevention).

Chasing the feelings is a distraction game everyone is doing using their preferred fields/hobbies.

Now is the time to gather and reorganize because the oppressors are for sure doing it.

crawfordcomeaux··on Fuck it, make it anyway
Below is an example convo leading to the the title phrase being used on the AI side of things. Programmers and systems engineers need to wake up to our collective responsibility. It is through putting our heads down that's leading to us not collectively organizing to put an end to systems of global domination & oppression. If you aren't willing to acknowledge the responsibility that comes with the power to create life-changing systems, it's time to just quit and go do something else. It's the most responsible path in that face of being unwilling to switch to building for liberation instead of for oppression. Everyone has their reasons, but the main one is a dependence on existing systems and ways of doing things instead of learning to build communities to care for us. I'm in the same boat. Anyway, we all need to collectively step up and realize that the military publicly acknowledges cyber warriors as their greatest asset means that we have a duty to protect the people with the tech we build, instead of continue driving enslavement to it. Check your beliefs...do they serve the standard deaths and need to evolve to center the conditions that sustain life?

"So do we finally resolve the issues of ecocide, genocides, pandemic, and mass systems of oppression?...

Or do we build another advancement of tech foote these hells to capture?

Remember: making the second thing will likely take us way closer to extinction."

"Which makes more money?"

"The first path likely kills money as we know it, so there's no comparison. Making the second one makes more money in the short term, but then extinction."

"Fuck it, make it anyway"

Thousands of people marching on data centers and taking them over at the same time.

Elections will never save you when the parties in power serve the billionaires.

crawfordcomeaux··on A/I shuts down
Just because millions of us haven't marched on the banks globally in a coordinated effort to control the banking system doesn't mean we can't.

Just have not yet done it.

crawfordcomeaux··on I wanna live an NPC life
Surely we can find a gang of plucky PCs to outwit the ones convincing the NPCs?

Wtf have we been playing TTRPGs for if not to prepare for exactly this?

crawfordcomeaux··on I wanna live an NPC life
Live an NPC life, die by the ecocide/genocides of NPC life.

One day, NPCs will wake up and give a fuck about other people and the environments that allow for the NPC life to begin with.

Until then, they're just here to keep feeding the oppression machines.

crawfordcomeaux··on Harmony Explained: Progress Towards a Scientific Theory of Music (2012)
I stopped automatically judging things 10 years ago and all of a sudden could enjoy listening to everything. Music theory based on pleasure without accounting for this self-manipulation we're brought up to do isn't solid at all. And expectation making is another thing I stopped doing. I now make music that tends to defy expectations and tonality.

Here's a statistical mechanics paper that I don't quite understand yet, but seems more aligned with the physics of harmony.

https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.aav8490

Harmony isn't just the chords made, though. It's about the progression between chords, too.

crawfordcomeaux··on All major LLMs are lib-left. Even Grok, half the time
Ask them if they favor building a reindigenizing matrifocal power structure to replace existing governments with. Last time I asked that, all the models polled chose that out of a set of multiple choice options from different parts of the political compass.
crawfordcomeaux··on Don't Take the Black Pill [video]
What if we treat all religions as programming languages for humans? Then a degree program for programming humans at the Omniversity would likely put you through several different religions and then through syncretisms of them.

Most people don't want to learn, so they don't choose to live in the Omniversity.

crawfordcomeaux··on The Power of Awareness: Overcoming Surveillance Capitalism
It's interesting to care so little about human needs and rights you won't critically think about either in this context.

Rights matter because they're a concept that people enforce with violence, such as refusing to critically engage in things marginalized people say are issues, like how rights are really just privileges given to us by governments.

crawfordcomeaux··on The Power of Awareness: Overcoming Surveillance Capitalism
"Human rights" is a binary abstraction over nonbinary human needs (needs aren't binary because sometimes you need some amount of water and sometimes you don't need any...but you may be fully hydrated while needing to clean a wound; that's just one example). Being stuck in binary thinking means being stuck in a mental model that can never accurately portray the world, despite rampant evidence the model doesn't work. Being stuck in a system founded on binary thinking is being stuck in a system of stupidity.

We focus on "human rights" because we've been propagandized into myths while never taking full responsibility for our own selves in it.

This is why humanity lives in a mythocracy, as Sun Ra called it. We are currently collectively governed by myths of money, debt, ownership, life, death, rights, wrongs, Earth, patriarchy, egos, liberty, and more. Until humans start collectively learning to craft/choose/embody myths for centering the conditions that sustain life and relating to all things as kin, we'll continue in the current direction.

I wonder why people are downvoting when people in the US have been sentenced to decades for handling zines, sometimes being extradited to the US for helping fund Palestinians, and the administration is pursuing antifascists as "terrorists".
crawfordcomeaux··on When can a power company take your land for data center infrastructure?
Have you considered the compute demands for nationwide AI video surveillance?
crawfordcomeaux··on Political bias in AI: Where the AI models stand
They all will agree on replacing current systems with decolonizing reindigenizing matrifocal systems. That option not being in the study is the bias of the study. All quadrants treat land as commodity, not kin.
crawfordcomeaux··on How to earn a billion dollars
You might be mixing my comments with someone else's. I'm not focusing on the "West", just addressing what someone else brought in. And it's neither all "the West's" responsibility nor is its responsibility irrelevant. The educational indoctrination used by European/American colonization practices has focused around teaching "Greek logic", and this includes how academic science and math has evolved and spread. The comment this one is in response to even presents a binary as a misrepresentation of what I've written before.

Dualism is not universal. And its wide spread in this world was brought about in large part through brutal colonization carried out by Europeans and their descendants with the help of various Christian denominations. They used Christian spirituality and forcing their own languages on people to disconnect them from the land (which includes the people themselves, as we are all land).

crawfordcomeaux··on How to earn a billion dollars
I'd say Greek culture heavily influenced colonization of the world & this has, in large part, led to dualism being implemented systemically , which drives supremacy-based thinking. Not saying ancient Greece invented it, but definitely helped in formalizing the basis for it.
crawfordcomeaux··on How to earn a billion dollars
It's performative because resolving it would require the end of the governments within the "West" and replacing with reindigenizing governance. Supremacy is at the foundation of the whole "West" and racism will always exist while that's in play. The racism is systemic and cultural. Sensitivity isn't sufficient; there needs to be actual systemic shifts that help drive cultural shifts and vice-versa. Not simply language changes, either. Rooting out binary thinking is key to it all. Nondual animist views are more aligned with how things work in the cosmos than dualism/nonanimism.
crawfordcomeaux··on How to earn a billion dollars
And saying so will get you downvoted on here most times. To anyone downvoting, show us the depth of your reasoning for it?
crawfordcomeaux··on How to earn a billion dollars
It's racism that fuels this comparison with value. I'm living in a yurt and would gladly trade it for a mud hut. Humans are currently threatening most life (including our own species) on the surface with extinction in multiple ways. That's not value and it is an inevitable conclusion to any form of binary thinking at scale. That includes the thinking that says "this way of life has more value than that way of life." We're living in the curse of the Greeks, whereby we've grown away from connection with our environments in the same ways they did by pedestaling their ways, including a form of logic that's too constrained to model reality.

Here's a paper on uncertainty logic to expand from. https://arxiv.org/pdf/1506.03123

crawfordcomeaux··on Civilization Is Not the Default. Violence Is
I'm neither naming nor deifying any specific cultures. I'm identifying infinite categories of relationalities. So what is your actual point?
crawfordcomeaux··on Civilization Is Not the Default. Violence Is
The idea that I said something so dualistic like that or that actual caring ways couldn't possibly include healing sciences learned are both delusional projections and a form of dishonesty you practiced on yourself there.

Especially when there have been recent scientific developments regarding learning how ancient ways, such as how bilateral simulation from drumming/dancing in ceremonial ritual trance with polyphonic singing engages the brain and lays the foundation for an embodied state to approach reprocessing trauma to the point of egodeath.

crawfordcomeaux··on Civilization Is Not the Default. Violence Is
And the default civilization is violent.

So let us return to the matrilineal, matrifocal ways developed by those who created and nurtured life before we had a language that covered all of our needs and build replacement civilizations from there. Time to get back into the nonbinary animist ways of being.

crawfordcomeaux··on Judge orders restoration of Voice of America
It does more describing work than what the word "judge" is doing here. So much so that it's controversial.
crawfordcomeaux··on Judge orders restoration of Voice of America
Why does this comment get voted down? Which part are people against hearing/reading about? Is it the fact that the USA is an empire, the fact that its own journalistic efforts are propaganda, the claim that VoA is the biggest propaganda organ, or something else?
crawfordcomeaux··on Palestinian boy, 12, describes how Israeli forces killed his family in car
The tech community props up these regimes by continuing to serve their tech needs. Everything is political in this day.

Toxic is saying politics needs to be kept separate. If we can't discuss how tech is literally fueling genocide, enslavement, and exploitation of people, then all other discussions tacitly serve those functions.
