If protecting people's privacy is a passion for you as it has been for me for decades, this could be a great fit!
If terms like verifiable credentials, OIDC, and ZKPs don't scare you, this full-stack dev role might be for you -- contract at first but the ideal would be to move into a CTO role for our WolfNYC (VC) backed startup.
We are also hiring B2C & B2B Growth marketing roles, as well as an operations person.
If nothing else, know these two things:
1) It's a decentralized protocol, not a company or app -- there are man different clients that do completely different things on nostr, try them all and see which works best for you.
2) Unlike Twitter and Mastadon, the relay admins can not read your private DMs.
If you want to generate a key pair, including a vanity one, and/or know how to NIP-05 validate it, to use nostr: https://krisconstable.com/generating-a-key-pair-with-nostr/
A day or two ago someone was trying an XSS on the web clients, including Damus web, so they've been taken down until resolved. Use nos2x or alby if you're using a web client, instead of inputting your private key into the web app manually.
"nostr - Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays". "The simplest open protocol that is able to create a censorship-resistant global "social" network once and for all."
Jack stumbled upon it yesterday and created an account, so there have been a flood of new users already in the last 16 hours.

I recommend https://astral.ninja as a first time user as it's easy to generate a key pair, which you can then use as you try the many other clients.
This is a very new protocol, so the clients are still dev level and not production level, but development has been very rapid on this protocol.
One thing that stands out to me as a privacy advocate, is that unlike Twitter or Mastadon, the admins (relay operators in the case of nostr) can't read your DMs, so nostr is already ahead of both of these technologies in that regard.
