couchdive··on Billionaire Insys founder charged in U.S. opioid bribe case
yeah and the entire FDA group that allowed this and maybe the pain center doctors who ran pill mills all over the midwest and south? Nah, they are all rich, easier to find a scapegoat, pretend your doing something, and gloat. The life of politics. Maybe declare a war on drugs!
couchdive··on Undersea Cable System Cuts in Singapore
Undersea, on land, and outerspace, oh yeah.

Rumors abound of anti satellite/satellites (DS-P1-M and IS Satellites) and I think Russia, china, and the US have destroyed satellites with rockets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-satellite_weapon

We have tinsel cluster bombs for power plants on land (BLU-114/b) https://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/dumb/blu-114.htm

And undersea tapping is being done: http://siliconangle.com/blog/2013/07/19/how-the-nsa-taps-und...

couchdive··on Why you still get drunk drinking “session” beers
Beers have changed through the decades.

Faro beers and similar old style session beers would usually be in the 2 to 3 percent range. People drank them while that worked. It was not intended to get you drunk but energized.

Today's sessions are 4 percent and as high as 5 percent, which is significantly more and quite frankly silly to be called a session beer, since most pilsners and light beers are in the same range naturally.

couchdive··on Whitehouse response to Aaron Swartz petition
It's voting! You vote in the folks who vote in the folks who appoint their friend to high positions! It's democracy...sorta...kinda....not really.
couchdive··on Now: Obama Live Sony Hack
18.5 million consumers in California had their personal info hacked. The population of the state is 38 million. This 38 million figure is allotting for children and other non-internet users like elderly.

Source: http://oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases/attorney-general-kamal...

Yet, a voluntarily removed movie and yet another hack on company that has historically shown itself not to give one single damn about network security, demands White house attention.

couchdive··on Update on Sony Investigation
I was going to comment, but North Korea suppressed my expression. Curses you NK!
couchdive··on How my Chase Account was Hacked and Money was sent in minutes
It appears that doesn't cover business accounts.

http://www.bankersonline.com/technology/gurus_tech080403b.ht...

But that is really good protection for the consumer! I was not aware of that protection. I have heard of people being told by banks that their were no protections.

couchdive··on How my Chase Account was Hacked and Money was sent in minutes
This is not accurate.

Ones bank account is not FDIC insured against theft, but from your bank going bankrupt. I would love an update. It will all depend on just how good of a business account you have and just how much viral this goes.

For reference. Go here and read under the area called "What is not insured" https://www.fdic.gov/consumers/consumer/information/fdiciorn...

couchdive··on Trent Reznor on his new role at Apple
Great,

Do not integrate with I-tunes and bring back Mog! I thought Mog was hard to use, Beats is ridiculous. My need to find a song by saying I am sitting poolside naked, just woke up, and eating a mango is next to nil.

couchdive··on Mystery Bidder Bids $3.2M for 6000 Detroit Homes
Almost all public auctions I know of do not allow loans at all.

You usually need a cash downpayment to even bid, and proof of funds in bank to participate.

couchdive··on Ozone-Depleting Compound Persists, NASA Research Shows
Neither does the industrial sector in the Unites States, but thats why sometimes, regulation is important.
