But the FBI has been trained to hide the source of information, probably because it is illegal in many cases (maybe comes from NSA)... they call it parallel construction but it probably should be called something much worst.

> I need to record the conversation and I need a contract signed, because I need to protect myself.

why not record the guy and play the video at the funeral?

Firefox now has a setting for auto-play...

because school started?

You can use an ESP8266 as a wifi router for up to 8 clients at 5mbps each I think which is really impressive so it should be able to do that... I used that for the kids in the car so that they can play games together

Amazon tablets are pretty cheap... I bet many, including myself for the kids, chose them.

it took him like 10 years to get his fiber ISP going and still can't get cable

I'm hoping it's a good time to sell because I just sold mine for 3x what I paid for it 10 years ago. But there could still be a lot of inflation coming up.

phone in smart-phone stands for telephone, not microphone

oops, thanks...had the 'encrypt all sites' setting to ON in https everywhere.

The homes around here (suburb) fly off the shelves even if prices are higher then the last bubble (~2007)... not sure what is going on. Could people be moving away from large cities because of covid-19 and remote work opportunities?

I think they should be called "active audio monitoring devices" because microphone is somewhat missing something... or maybe "smart microphone".

I used H&R block the last few years and I feel like they also try to trick you into paying when you don't need to.

gmail is really low for a company that deranks slow websites...

Looks like they deleted the file ... now 404 not found...

All cars are like this though... Reminds me of this article from 2014: https://www.businessinsider.com/ford-exec-gps-2014-1

e option to disable autoplay on YOUTUbE was already somewhat hidden so that is not a big surprise....

"must find a legal technicality, not a technical technicality."

I think we are ok as long as there are no precedents? Isnt that how smartass laws work?

every seeder could technically have all the files but would only share random chunks with each user

You could or could not have all files, but you would never upload a whole file to a single user (ie: part of a file is possibly meaningless if you upload random chunks)

It would be nice to have a torrent system where noone that is uploading has all the data for a specific torrent (or at least they arent uploading the whole file to any specfic person... probably would be harder to prosecute in the event that some files become illegal)... You could take 1% of the billonaire's fortune and give it to the "victims" and everyone would be happy.

I haven't bought fron Amazon in a couple months...Ebay is usually cheaper for the stuff that needs to be bought online (or hard to find in stores).

What I do for things like Reddit and HN, is that I create a new account every few months to make it harder for them... and of course I try not to post information that could personally identify me. As a bonus, you almost stop caring about karma points ;) But of course the provider could still doxx you unless you take some additional steps to stay anonymous (like Tor, maybe).

I make sure to turn OFF auto-updates on Android... but I use automatic updates on Linux.

What I hate most about snaps is that they show up when I use "df -hl" ... but I don't use Ubuntu anymore so I don't have that problem.

Thats fine... But it would be really screwed up if it was related at all

when did they start this promotion?

On mobile and non-mobile, I use Firefox' Redirector addon to redirect all reddit links to https://ns.reddit.com/* which might be the same as old.reddit.com

LOL... they would allow you to root it if you did...
