This works for me. Dish soap is barely a drop that I use to spread. Also clean the frames occasionally with water. For 6, I use a fresh clean underwear instead of a clean towel. One less towel and the usual laundry cycle takes care of the rest.
Very cool project. I have had the exact same thoughts for a solution to kill Linkedin. The icing on the cake would be to use Linkedin Auth and help pre-poulate this. This will help with the adoption and once recruiters start using it, we have a winner (And a dead linkedin too).
Let's you build e-commerce sites in less than 5 minutes. Just hook it to your Google drive and edit a spreadsheet. Fixed fee and stripe payments. More templates coming in the future. Got it up few weeks back and actively trying to get the first few customers. Happy to get some feedback.
Edit: Not a personal site, just realized the title of HN post.
My usecase is something alone the lines of building a product/hosting solution that allows users to place files on their drive and I'd modify/sync/hotlink it to a cloud hosting server. Amazon Drive seems a good candidate too, I'm simply looking for the most popular one that users use and one that has decent API support for download/uploads.
I recall being as a teenager hearing of Linux and distros on the internet in the early 2000s and experimenting with different ones. Not sure what motivated me, but everytime things would break and I'd google and try fixing it myself so that the rest of the family could use the same one computer. Perhaps Linux can still function the same and help pose a challenge to kids these days too.
Yeah imagine getting a dopamine from checking emails. It's designed to be checked occasionally, atleast most web apps are. We need more of that. Once a day feed from Facebook. Scroll limit on YouTube.
I haven't even been to Mezli yet. But I know for a fact that I'd eat there a lot. Something like chipotle, but middle eastern, healthier and cheaper is the sweet spot!
While distribution chain is as important as a product, I feel having a problem area first is the key. That's what I'm struggling with finding I believe.
I feel there lots more than what we see on HN. Countless calculator, weather and niche sites I come across who never have anything in public. Long back each niche would host a forum software and would make quite a bit through adsense. Ofcourse, Facebook etc al have pretty much killed that avenue.
I was diagnosed with glaucoma at the age of 17 by a doctor. It was hard for me to comprehend that I'd have to take drops for the rest of my life. I do have pretty bad myopia and astigmatism. This was in the middle east. On doing a recheck back in India, I had a very comprehensive testing with multiple doctors checking for glaucoma and retinal damage and was told that while I'm a suspect, there's no reason for me to take drops. My IOP was calculated taking into account the diameter of the pupil (I think) and Goldman test which wasn't done previously. The doctors proceeded to explain that in the west, doctors are more likely to prescribe treatment for glaucoma because of all things around insurance etc. At minimum, I recommend getting a second opinion, if possible from a country that's not riddled with such insurance schemes.
Exciting stuff! So where's the $3 bowl on the menu? (chuckle) Its great to see each customization option doesn't have a separate price line on it though!
Not a fan of the acronym at all, its been misused a lot. However, if there's a website out there that allows me to apply do multiple job listings in one click that'd be awesome. Imaging having to go through a variety of ATS like workday. Not to mention, often times, the info within the same company isn't reused. I'd be sold if all of that was taken care of with a single click.
This is right. They sell the whole picture of freedom really well. Contractors have existed for long, nothing new. The product is in a unique position to not need a lot of Full time employees and like he said, its accidental. I do like it though (and had underestimated) that there are lots of people who are ready to consider working like this in tech.
The one thing that finally works for me for backup is restic (https://restic.net/). I use linux and set my home dir to a different partition, Run a daily script that uses restic to backup to backblaze. Smooth as butter and hopefully I don't need to use it. Curious what this uses under the hood, wouldn't be surprised if it was restic.
What city are you in if you don't mind me asking? While I agree with the sentiment to live in the present, I do think many of us don't see ourselves living in major US tech hubs for long, it's more of optimizing for money when you are young and de-prioritizing certain other aspects while making sure you still remain Happy and not miserable. For instance, if you are from India, you can get 3x+ salary/savings, learn different cultures/lifestyle and also learn from the best in technology and business for the cost of living away from your family (which you kind of do anyways if your family isn't in an Indian tech hub city).
Great frontpage and app. I love the integrations and automation section which shows great potential. Few critics and requests:
* Please make the signup box more visible/highlighted. Took me 2s to find out where to signup.
* Your page is catered towards people who already use a bookmarking serivce. Some of the audience may not yet use a good bookmarking service. For eg: I use a history recorder and don't explicitly bookmark.
* Would be great to see an integration with some push to kindle service. I'd signup in a jiffy. (I use fivefilters currently and never actual "read" anything on a monitor).
This mostly doesn't change much. Most people who come to high pay areas come for the pay and opportunity and will continue to do so. Sounds more like PR. It's yet to be seen if productivity is better or worse.
Tbh this may sound cultist to others, but it's really not. You'll need to understand the philosophies of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo first for it to make sense. It's sets the example of a Utopian society. One shouldnt simply look at it from that angle and discard it without understanding the history and vision behind it.
Not arguing for/against masks, merely pointing out the analogy. For your parachute analogy. Imagine that its given the parachute will have very large holes (similar to the droplets being very very small). Its useless having a parchute in that case.
