Peter-Paul Koch is probably the most authoritative source regarding browser quirks outside of browser developers. Don't let a dated website design color your view of the content.
A celeb/politician/etc's popularity is what brings regular people to twitter. To charge the celeb would be counterproductive and probably move them over to a competitor for good.

I always ask what the typical workday is like for someone in my position, preferably getting the answer _from_ someone in a similar position. It's never failed and in addition to getting the hours answered, it gives you insight into other practices you may like/dislike such as standups and number of meetings in the average day.
This is area-specific. For example, in Florida (where I've bought/sold 4 houses over the years) property taxes tend to be reassessed to very close to purchase price upon sale, because due to homestead exemptions the taxes haven't kept up with home price inflation. I believe similar happens in California.
Also: "this" is bound for you in fat arrow functions without having to resort to function.prototype.bind or "var that = this;" trickery. That's an issue I've seen bite many people before and it'll be nice to have an easy way to avoid that.
This does vary according to location (as the article says), but I've used cabs, Uber and Lyft in SF. I prefer Uber and Lyft by far over the standard cab services. The cars and drivers are generally nicer. I don't really have a preference for Uber vs Lyft and tend to go with the cheaper/more convenient option in the moment. However, I do find that Lyft drivers are generally more social while Uber drivers will let you keep to yourself more easily, so I also book based on mood sometimes.
