That's a stretch to say that's making gasoline.
So it's always pretty accurate to say "now", because "later" is rarely a good time to start.
Sadly HN has become diluted with "4hr work weeks", "12 steps every start up-needs" and "X is a Y killer". I'm just waiting for the invasion of lolcats. :'(

Could someone put some some numbers on this? Is the extra weight(and price) of the battery and the loss of energy at each power conversion worthwhile?
But, I've worked with many a developer who couldn't tell you why divs differ from spans.
Beautiful. Because of that imagery, I'm looking more into Smalltalk now.
<h3>hello</h3>
… in Seaside you write: html heading level: 3; with: 'hello'.
ouch. As apps and data move into the cloud, the traditional
PC metaphors are beginning to lose their relevance.
We're entering the age of the invisible PC: a world
where Windows may soon seem as archaic and limiting
as the mainframes of yesterday. The new computing
model is extending the digital workspace beyond
the desktop to a range of new devices -- including
smartphones, netbooks, and gadgets not even
invented yet. Some of these devices run Linux now,
and many more will in the future. The value
proposition of open source for hardware manufacturers
is such that Linux's future as a vital, thriving
client-side OS is all but assured. It just won't
be on the desktop.
Don't bother reading that even. Here it is in a sentence. A lot of people don't use Linux.Lisp interpreter in the browser, even has a graphics library. http://christophdietze.com/node/23
Really! Flash got me hooked on programming. In school everyone else was bored making loops in Java and I was making a Ball bounce around the screen. Draw, code, play, repeat. Plus it runs everywhere! Personally, I suggest skipping the IDE and compile it directly from classes for free.
...mere act of writing it organized our thoughts
So true, I just applied that yesterday. But, all this article said is: "Hey we have a great Idea and it Works. [mumbles]For sufficiently small values of works."
