cnqso··on I am done with this shit
I can think of a few critical differences here
cnqso··on GPT-6 built this earth exploration site in 5 prompts
A good 6th prompt would have been "remove the title/subtitle idiom wherever it appears in the application"
cnqso··on The EPA is planning to scrap public review rules for data center pollution
I don't think it's a bubble

Good luck!
cnqso··on Show HN: Infinite Sugar – a fruit fly emulation given a pleasant life
The fly has most of its motor functions cut in order to better enjoy the sugar
cnqso··on Show HN: Infinite Sugar – a fruit fly emulation given a pleasant life
I've seen many projects so far subjecting this poor fly to various manmade horrors, so I tried to do the opposite. The name is an intentional play off of "Infinite Pain" by Harris Rosenblum, a 2025 artwork in which a simulated nematode nervous system is provided with continuous pain stimuli.

In Travis Diehl's critique of this work he writes: "The piece conveys a negative aura simply in that the artists decided to build a torture chamber. Why not a nematode orgasmatron?"

I suppose we'll see
cnqso··on Will we let you back into the club?
"there is really nothing of interest to a software engineer in machine learning at all"

I disagree

cnqso··on Omacom Foundation launches with $8M
Anything that gets hyprland on more devices is a beautiful thing in my book
cnqso··on Bun 1.4
I personally do not feel limited by the ~100mb binary size. We're working in Javascript after all.
cnqso··on Launch HN: Speko (YC S26) – OpenRouter for Voice AI
What does WER/CER stand for? I see it as some kind of key metric under each model but not clear what it's measuring
cnqso··on Show HN: BloonsBench – Evaluate agent performance on Bloons Tower Defense 5
A few takeaways from my limited test runs:

1. Gemini really loves wizards

2. Running agents is expensive

3. Supervising auto-bloons is about as fun as playing it yourself

cnqso··on OpenAI may not use lyrics without license, German court rules
There's a major risk to being the market leader in a new, controversial technology. Look what happened to Juul
cnqso··on AI is Dunning-Kruger as a service
Careful not to overestimate the customer
cnqso··on Claude Code: Now in Beta in Zed
What Zed lacks in code generation quality it makes up for in not-being-an-Electron-app
cnqso··on The Future Is Niri
I'm a hyprland zoomer but I used Niri for a bit and it worked pretty well. It slots in perfectly for someone coming from an average single-monitor Windows workflow (for most office-style tasks). I still think that more complex tiling setups have a higher productivity ceiling though. I guess if you're like this guy and keep >10 workspaces open at once you'd have to go with Niri. I wonder if the increased battery life would still hold for someone that only keeps a few windows open at once. 2 hours is insane from just a change of wm
cnqso··on Web Scraping in Python – The Complete Guide
Any modern web scraping set up is going to require browser agents. You will probably have to build your own tools to get anything from a major social media platform, or even NYT articles.
cnqso··on Labeling of Plant-Based Milk Alternatives
Most regular milk contains abnormally high quantities of endocrine disruptors/bioactive hormones. It probably is not very good to give to children.
cnqso··on Tech Progress Is Slowing Down
The presence of currently unfolding areas of innovation doesn't discredit the fact that the exponential progress we've enjoyed since the Industrial Revolution has slowed suddenly over the past few decades.
cnqso··on Oracle per-employee Java pricing causes concern
At a certain point, Oracle can safely assume that everything that still hasn't migrated to a modern language will never migrate to a modern language
