Hi Dan. I really really appreciate the time you took. Indeed we target bigger companies. I have a lot of experience with smaller companies also. If there is anything I can help you let's have a chat. I'd like to pay back.

cllaudiu··on SaaS Growth Experiment: Fast vs. Considered Signup
Never rely only on benchmark data. The case study with Absolute is interesting, though I am not sure it applies to many.
cllaudiu··on An open letter to developers (from the annoying dude in charge of marketing)
Thank you for pointing that out. Indeed, it's easy to take the growth battle as a personal one and forget about the mission and vision of the company.

It's a tricky one. How would you suggest to fix this. Short victories are sometimes very important but the ultimate goal is the fulfillment of the vision/mission.

Jokes helped me a lot to get along with developers. Well, getting their jokes helped a lot also. But yes, in the end it's just an ice breaker. Thanks for the comment.
cllaudiu··on Ultimate Guide to SaaS Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
Agree with you here. For my previous start-up I used to calculate LTV only based on people that churned. Knowing your LTV is much higher can only be great, at least as long as you can work with a CAC/LTV value.

I find the adjustment of LTV by 0.75 to be a smart shortcut. You could probably spend hours and hours of calculating just to reach an average of 0.8342 or something, though the exact number wouldn't make much difference to your CAC spending.
cllaudiu··on Why is the trended customer funnel one of the best reports ever?
I first heard of this report via Eric Ries’s book Lean Startup and I remember having a furious reaction to it: why didn’t I think of it before?!?
