christkv··on AI's economics don't make sense
I'm just flabbergasted at the massive inefficient usage of tokens. What are people doing to spend 500 usd/day in tokens. I just don't understand what you could possibly be doing that would be not complete spagetti at the end if you run something in an autoloop.
christkv··on UAE to leave OPEC
They represent 4.5% of oil production it seems. It will be interesting to see what this means longterm.
christkv··on Can you stop beans from making you gassy?
Hmm too bad he did not try out the method I use which is soaking in water with a bit of baking soda. You got to rinse the beans well before cooking them. Would be interesting to know if it really makes a difference on the gas. It does on the skin though making them much softer.
christkv··on GPT-5.5
With premonition so it knows what floor to be on at any given time
christkv··on If America's so rich, how'd it get so sad?

christkv··on Silicon Valley is turning scientists into exploited gig workers?
PhD was always a fools errand. There are only so many possible professorships with tenure and the people there never seem to retire because obviously they like being paid that good money and being basically able to do what they want.
christkv··on The future of everything is lies, I guess: Where do we go from here?
There is the whole dead internet theory that I think will happen. Anything not in person is potentially a lie or at best bots.
christkv··on The beginning of scarcity in AI
It feels like a repeat of the dot com infrastructure buildup that spurred the whole 2005 explosion in affordable hosting and new companies. This will probably leave us massive access to affordable compute in a couple of years.
christkv··on The beginning of scarcity in AI
Could not agree more, this will spur innovation in all aspects of local models is my hunch.

christkv··on The Economics of Software Teams: Why Most Engineering Orgs Are Flying Blind
I expect engineering departments to be flattened and reduced in people. Corporate silos of responsibility around apps will probably disappear as a senior developer with tools can be pretty effective across platforms and technologies because the value of architectural and design thinking becomes more valuable
christkv··on The future of everything is lies, I guess – Part 5: Annoyances
Meh I'm going to run my own agent to argue with their agents. Endless patience.

I wish these plans had burst mode where I could set default plan size and max plan size and just scale up for a month automatically if needed but automatically drop back to my default plan at the next billing cycle
christkv··on The Pentagon Threatened Pope Leo XIV's Ambassador with the Avignon Papacy
I would care more about the plight of the pope if it the church was not still covering for nonces and other malfeasance. I do not view them as arbiters of morality.
