chillly··on YouTube is banning anti-vaccine activists and blocking all anti-vaccine content
What has 'social media' got to do with free speech? Who is stopping you saying what you want? If what you mean is that what write or say is not beamed on everyone's phone, that is not a free speech issue, it's that you can't persuade anyone to publish what you say, which is totally different.
chillly··on Be skeptical of Ring's indoor security drone
If the rooms in your house have doors and those doors are closed as they should be to slow the spread of a fire, how will the drone work?
chillly··on City Roads – Draw all roads in a city at once
The site times out, YC has struck.

It says it is contacting openstreetmaps, but the global mapping community is called openstreetmap (no 's').

chillly··on Google claims copyright on employee side projects
"Don't be evil" is looking more and more hollow.
chillly··on Last call for the phone booth?
Not all phone boxes in the UK are red. In Hull and the surrounding area they are cream-coloured, they are run by the local phone outfit Kcom. Their use for making calls is declining just like everywhere else.
chillly··on Stars may collide in a “red nova” in 2022
They don't listen for specific events, they wouldn't know when they were going to happen. They wait for any detectable gravity wave to occur. I just don't know what the magnitude and distance of such an event would show up.
chillly··on Stars may collide in a “red nova” in 2022
I wonder if the event will be big enough to show up in gravity waves. There will be three detectors at least 'listening'.
chillly··on Easy 6502 – How to get started writing 6502 assembly language
I enjoyed using 6502 assembler in my youth. If you want to learn an assembler language that is still in use today take a look at Microchip PIC.
chillly··on Voice Is the Next Big Platform, and Alexa Will Own It
Still not sure why anyone would have an open mic, connected to the internet by closed software always on in their house.
chillly··on Leaflet: An open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps
I've just used Leaflet to create a map for a music festival. It was a joy to use, works well on mobile devices easy to deploy and has been well recieved. Thanks to @mourner and the team for superb library. Small, neat, well documented and changes are improvements not bloat.
