chedine··on Ask HN: I built it, nobody came, now what?
I can see that. You could have included a link to your product in this post and yet you missed.btw, i just checked out the product and i love it.
chedine··on Bitcoin is not a Battery – it is a Sink
Leaving the arguable utility and purpose aside, why is consuming electricity for securing traditional finance ok, but not for securing crypto based financial system? Isnt traditional systems consuming arguably needless electricity for ATM security, severs, surveillance, transportation, software and its resources that go into securing the system, etc etc? If thats acceptable i wonder why is the energy spent, in the name of PoW, unacceptable?PoW grabs a lot of eyeballs and also lets these paper analysts to easily quantify the consumption. While quantifying the energy consumption of traditional systems is difficult and hence becomes ok..
chedine··on Metakovan, the mystery Beeple art buyer, and his NFT/DeFi scheme
Well said, this is exactly what it is
chedine··on Ask HN: Do you create digital art? let's see it

chedine··on Show HN: Eraser — Excalidraw-based visual meeting canvas

chedine··on Show HN: NoteCalc

chedine··on Show HN: IsRicherThanYou – Whoever pays the most stay on the front-page
Dang simple yet effective idea. Good job. Modern version of million dollar website I guess.
chedine··on India air pollution at 'unbearable levels'
Japan, Korea or other countries may also be overpopulated yes. But realize the volume spread. A few millions overpopulation is largely different from an over population of a few billions. The magnitude is incomparable.
chedine··on Show HN: Jiggy – an AI powered app that makes people in your photos dance
Very cool execution. Loved the idea.
chedine··on Clojure REBL [video]
Unwritten rule of HN is that, one must be a blind supporter of anything clojure, Haskell and must be a blind hater of anything java, Javascript. Downvoters:care to provide reasons??
chedine··on Clojure REBL [video]
OK yeah this looks good. Was expecting a tech demo but this is such a sales pitch glorifying a pretty common solution to a pretty common problem. The Intro on eval result not being a data is something that I don't get. If it's not data then what is it? Atleast what is it for the thing that's presenting it? All these while the folks were flaunting how awesome the REPL experience has been and suddenly Stu gives a small intro on how painful it is to eval a code. Just to glorify how awesome this REBL wud be? . I generally love most talks from clj community but not this one.
chedine··on Show HN: Nirvana, a WIP programming language
Sir, now, may I ask you step down from that Ivory tower and stop making grand claims about Haskell the safest and java, Javascript the hazardous.
chedine··on Building the Software 2.0 Stack by Andrej Karpathy [video]
>Humans also do unexpected things, like stepping on the gas instead of the brake. If Autopilot does unexpected things at 0.01

But the difference is, one human doing the wrong thing does not mean every human Will do the same thing, given the same scenario. But whereas a software running on all cars will exactly do the same wrong thing given the same input. Sure, three is also an advantage (arguably), as fixing it once fixes all cars but that has other problems in taking on the update.

chedine··on Show HN: Try Google fonts in Style
This is cool. But I also feel, this would be so much better if I can add multiple text elements so that I can compare different fonts as well.
chedine··on Show HN: Nightcoders.net, a cloud IDE for ClojureScript
Nice,this is super awesome.
