It's like wishing that tall high density housing didn't block your formerly great view, all while ignoring the fact that there's not enough affordable housing in your area.
Wishes without thought show naivety at best or selfishness at worst. I probably won't agree with kelnos, but at least kelnos thought about the problem surrounding his desire.
“Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent.”
Going on a slight tangent, I find that I get the best results when I force Codex models (Astra/Sol) and Claude models (Opus/Fable) to consult each other (just have them build a simple skill). There are tasks that neither one can fully solve on their own, but their differences are large enough to make a difference when they collaborate.
1. Python has a lot of training data
2. Go runs with the philosophy of one same way to do stuff even further than Python. It’s also typed
3. Rust’s type system and strict compiler is what helps keep AI on guardrails
Also the visuals got a big improvement with Quest 3. I’m sure that Steam Frame will also have decent visuals.
One of the big complaints of online VR games is that it’s overrun by Gen Alpha children. The only mystery is why meta keeps targeting adults instead of Gen Alpha. It’s a marketing strategy that has already failed multiple times now. Judging from most of the comments here, it will continue to fail. IMO only Apple can breakthrough to adults and even they failed with AVP.
That didn’t happen because you would need market demand for that. Only Gen Alpha likes VR as a demographic.
For me the biggest calorie burners are boxing games. Beat Saber and others like Synth Riders are great too. Then there are fitness focus apps like Body Combat and even one for rowing machines.
Hopefully, Meta can convince HR firms that this is a fitness device that is eligible for FSA like benefits.
I’m still buying this for myself. I enjoy the private movie theater experience and turning every video game session into a decent cardio workout; I’ve lost 60 lbs with VR to date.
