ceslami··on Ask HN: Are uncommon TLDs (.ly, .io) viable for average users?
Larger companies which use uncommon TLD's generally buy both the TLD specific domain (ie recur.ly) and its .COM version (ie recurly.com).
ceslami··on Poll: How do you bill recurring payments?
So if PayPal has issues with canceling subscriptions, has horrendous support, is clunky, and has higher fees, why do you still use it?
ceslami··on Godfrey883aol.com
What are you hoping to hear from the HN community regarding your submission? You provide few details, and don't seem to have any particular intent.
ceslami··on How To Turn Customers Into Referrals
This is the sort of product blogging I appreciate. Spreadable provides actionable advice, and only suggests their product in a relevant section.

Great form.

ceslami··on Twitter reportedly in early stage acquisition talks with $10 billion valuation
After reading the article, the title feels a little linkbait-y. I feel like Twitter has been in early stage acquisition talks for a year now.

Not typical of TheNextWeb...

ceslami··on Non-intuitive Examples of Compounding Returns
The point of the article is sound nonetheless: it is better to save early and consistently.

This simple lesson alone could help many young people avoid financial issues later in life.

ceslami··on Selena Deckelmann will teach PostgreSQL on CodeLesson
No one should ever get this upset on HN.
ceslami··on Poll: How many accounts have you made on HN over the years?
Not to be _that_ guy, but why is this a point of curiosity?
ceslami··on Ask HN: My project died right after forming the company...
In this scenario, "company" is used to refer to an incorporated entity (C-Corp, S-Corp, LLC, etc). That is to say: You should not register a corporation with the government until you are sure that it has potential for growth.

You seem to be using the word "company" to referring to something different.

ceslami··on Ask HN: Is Facebook doing "Theater View" as beta for random users?
With a feature like that, they aren't analyzing what people _say_ about it. They are testing the way people interact with it. Perhaps they will test how many images users with the lightbox will look through on average compared to those without it.
ceslami··on Recruiting a Rails Programmer, Step One: The Email.
First, congrats. Airbnb is an awesome company.

Your story is a testament to the importance of maintaining an online presence that reflects your work and interests.

ceslami··on Ask HN: Is Facebook doing "Theater View" as beta for random users?
Facebook tests features among small pools of users to see how they interact with new interfaces. If they receive positive feedback and meet usability benchmarks, they push the change to the entire userbase.

Short answer: yes, pretty much.

ceslami··on Ask HN: Resources to Learn Web Development
css-tricks.com has a ton of great snippets for when you've gotten more comfortable with HTML/CSS/Javascript. Chris Coyier is very knowledgeable and writes great tutorials.
ceslami··on Email Use Drops by 59% Amongst US Teens in One Year
There is an entire generation of youth who have grown up with Facebook and social networks at the center of their internet experience. While email will likely not be extinct any time soon, it may be used less as a social tool, and more as a business tool.
ceslami··on Object Oriented CSS
This would undoubtedly have a negative impact on performance, no?
ceslami··on We’re creating a “Startup toolbox”. What apps should go in it?
Recurly or Chargify for recurring payments.
ceslami··on Review our Startup BusFeed
I think you would benefit from having a more prominent call to action button. In this case, the link to the contact form to schedule a demo could be made more prominent.
ceslami··on Ask HN: My project died right after forming the company...
Why do you say that?

I think most people on HN would agree that before incorporating, its smart to build a product and prove its viability/desirability. Except, of course, in capital intensive situations where funding (and thus incorporation) comes first.

ceslami··on What we have learnt running a bootstrapped startup
I think you could write a whole other blog post about the last paragraph. To me, the most interesting part about getting started on a new side project is what I end up learning as a result.

New methods and skills always come out of trying to solve new problems. And hopefully that will lead you to pursue something even harder/more interesting.

Edit: typo.
