This guy might be good at designing but he is really bad at 3D-printing. All of that post-processing would've been completely unnecessary if he'd made better choices about material and print orientation.
I have many teachers in both my immediate and extended family. All of the ones who aren't retired say the same thing: the quality of parents is in the absolute shitter in two major aspects: parents don't want to teach their children anything they see as "the school's job" such as how to read or work on anything with their children at home. The second way is discipline. They instill no values of discipline or respect for the rights of others in their children. The "back of the room peanut gallery" that was one in ten or one in twenty children when I was young has grown to one in three. These are kids who've never seen negative consequences for anything they've ever done and steadfastly believe that will continue into their adulthood.
I'm not able to try it until later, but regarding the sample audio: The voice quality is quite good, but what's going on with all the random pauses between words? It's very Captain Kirk.
Right. For the large companies, and the majority of the workforce, they mean nothing. Then the small to mid size businesses with some whackadoo who goes "we're not hiring X anymore, underrepresented groups only!" get a ton of press and create political capital.
Wow that is some massively overpriced crap right there. Forty dollars for a USB continuity tester with a basic plastic case that only does type-C cables. Meanwhile you can get one, with acrylic case, that does types A, B, C, Micro, and Micro 3.0 for $17 off Amazon or $11 off Aliexpress.
Personally I've yet to see a ray tracing implementation that I would sacrifice 10% of my framerate for, let alone 30%+. Most of the time, to my tastes, it doesn't even look better, it just looks different.
I still don't understand why some Hollywood writers are so out of touch with reality that they create characters with horrible fake Southern accents saying "y'all" as a singular pronoun. Nobody would actually do that unless they have brain damage.
The vast majority of the brain's processing power, including conceptual processing, is not conscious. Conscious thought is the framebuffer of the mind, subconscious is the RAM.
I don't know where this "unless the surface is sterile it is significantly dangerous" thing comes from. How many people have died from bacteria that grew on wooden utensils that were regularly washed? Is it anything other than zero?
AI-generated modeling is such a fun concept. If you want to pee yourself laughing, ask ChatGPT to generate SCAD files of things like animals or everyday objects.
What is this? A stub of an article with no author whose only content is "Trump is best buddies with a group of tech bros" with no comment on what that means or predictions about what policy decisions it implies. Is this AI-generated?
You're absolutely right. And the reason isn't because you have to be that bad to be homeless, but that if you're not that ill-equipped, you're usually in the category of the invisible homeless, couchsurfing or living in your car, etc.
No matter where you fall on the line between "seize all rental properties and give them to the homeless" and "if you can't buy a house you should go starve to death in the woods", I think most reasonable people would agree that giving open permission to set up a zone where laws barely apply and people who live there or happen to be don't get the same degree of protection and law enforcement as you could expect on the sidewalk in front of a Walmart to be a bad idea.
Those are not airline bombings so I don't know why you think they're relevant. People do not call airlines, say they're going to blow up a plane, and then blow up a plane. Ever.
I don't understand why authorities even respond to bomb threats at all. If your security procedures are sufficient to keep people from bombing planes, bomb threats are irrelevant. If someone intends to bomb a plane, they don't announce it, making bomb threats doubly irrelevant. An institution getting a bomb threat is about as consequential as someone threatening to kill you in a Youtube comment.
