caster_cp··on Equations for Organic Motion
It would be certainly more efficient to actually simplify many of the obviously overly complicated "formulas" there. Just for the sake of argument, you achieve the same "effect" of sin(t)cos(t) with a simple sin(2t) (ignoring the 0.5 multiplying the sin that made the amplitude of the movement unnecessarily small).
caster_cp··on On your marks, get set, release
This is amazing. I'm definetly telling all the guys at my university about this. I really hope it catches and we end up having something like the "github" for us, hardware freaks.

Also, by enabling people to share design techniques, neat circuit ideas, inventive and creative use of components, this site has the potential to really "teach" people electronics, and to get the good practices out there.

Kudos!

caster_cp··on Show HN: Linux sysadmin skills for anyone - a new online course
Great idea, and interesting model for a course. This is really an ability that many good developers lack. The downside on your marketing approach for me is having to pay $20 for something without having any idea about how the classes are. A cool model is letting the first user try one class first, before signing up :)

Besides that, as I said, its a very cool idea, and I wish you good luck with your project!

caster_cp··on Facebook, I want my friends back
That's the first thing I thought when I read the post. I was against Facebook's position at the beginning, but now I'm really glad they are charging that fee.

Besides that, Facebook is not the channel for you to get that ammount of data to your users. Facebook is a SOCIAL network, not a brand catalog. If they let that abusive behavior happen freely(sorry, but 16 posts a day is abusive behavior at least to me) their own product would be defaced.

caster_cp··on A circuit and PCB editor in the browser
Absolutely fantastic! I'm having problems trying to fork a circuit, though (rails' something went wrong message of doom). But this is definetly something I would love to use and see working. Kudos!
caster_cp··on The largest payment platform on Earth can reach 2 billion people
It's illegal in Brazil to accept payment in US Dollars... or in any foreign curerncy, for that matter.

SVMs are a relatively easy to use (but not to understand) method that yield impressive results for beginners. See the libsvm website, there are plenty of good material there (http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/). But as stated somewhere else here, game AI is a whole different story.
