Started as theft, moved up to attempted murder of a police officer. Use of force is justified. Not repairing the house is absolutely condemnation worthy. My local police department paid for a door broken in during a breach so it's not the same everywhere.
Not in the US. The police just have to claim they felt threatened. And property damage is just as bad if you've now made a person homeless and bankrupted them through no fault of their own. The judge was wrong here. The government cannot just take property and provide no recompense. This is effectively the same as eminent domain.
I can literally buy a $30 Chinese smartwatch that does 95% of what Fitbit and their $200 devices claim. The Chinese product spies on me less, has better customer service, and isn't asking me to join their stupid service which just locked up parts of the device that used to come with it. I'm surprised that they haven't imploded already.
Well the idea that a single point can provide the correct response for every part of a nation is a failure. The problem with this thought is that the US federal government is made up of representatives from the states. States with less people have dramatically more say than states with more people simply because there was an arbitrary limit put in place for the number of representatives. Our federal government therefore gives dramatically more power to places that no one wants to live. The best solution is a hub and spoke solution. This doesn't suffer from the local knowledge problem.
Perhaps it's time to divide the United States up into regions as well as states. Similar to how the federal court system already does it. Then the backwards southern states could fail on their own and eat themselves, in a way that allows the sane parts of the country to continue getting along just fine. Then we would put a giant border wall around those regions, especially Florida and turn them into giant penal colonies. Can you imagine the threat of being forced into Florida? Texas would become nothing more than giant flags and slices of bread.
If the tests are so inconclusive wouldn't that mean police officers are depriving people of their constitutional rights to freedom of movement? There have to be counter suits and either this company or the police force are liable for false imprisonment.
The article really does a poor job at showing the actual mismanagement of the river ecosystem. Other sources cover active steps that humans have taken which have caused major damage to the flow rates and resiliency systems that nature had in place.
Doesn't include the increase in pesticide usage getting into the water way or the declining water quality. This is a man made disaster.
Edit: Also doesn't cover the fact that they diverted water from the lakes that supply the river in low water times. This leaves no water for dry times.
Man the feels. I played the heck out of Utopia. But yeah Utopia's internal kingdom forums would get wiped out every season. It would take a little while for the Crystal Ball app to update. I think an archive system for the Q and A format isn't a terrible idea but you could take it further and build actual knowledge dbs that collected the best info sources and paired them with relevant books and tutorials where appropriate.
So my concern with this mentality is that the problem really is drivers most of the time it's not something you as a pedestrian can do anything to mitigate or prevent. Generally, as a driver myself, I try to be courteous to pedestrians but I've had multiple times as a pedestrian where drivers have intentionally tried to hit me while running, as in swerved at. When my wife road her bicycle motorcycles would swerve at her and my daughter. We had a girl in our city running last year where a vehicle literally crossed the road, went offroad and ran her down to hit her then drove off. While I'm sure that most drivers try to be good drivers I can almost count on people running red lights in my area, not respecting crosswalks, and generally just being poor drivers. There's literally nothing I as a pedestrian can to to avoid a car moving faster than I can get out of the way. When running I wear reflective gear and headphones that allow outside noise in so that I can hear the road, I stay off the road in pinch points or areas of the visibility, and I still got hit when being careful. People who are normally fine outside of the vehicle turn into sociopaths and monsters when in their vehicles. So while yes there's some impetus on pedestrians to do their part it doesn't matter when vehicles don't do their part.
I've been struck by a car while in a crosswalk. I waited to cross until the car stopped. It started again while I was in the crosswalk staring at them. Drivers are the problem not pedestrians.
Guess you missed the ones where cities are higher impacted and rural areas went down and that most of these are caused by SUVs because drivers of SUVs are terrible people and have a lead foot leading to more head injuries because of the height of their vehicle. It's pretty clear that the people at highest risk are pedestrians in cities that allow SUVs. The solution should be to ban SUVs in cities, since they are responsible for most of the deaths would cause a dramatic drop in pedestrians dying.
edit: oh and a ton of people hit had alcohol in their system.
Copy and paste on Android worked well before iOS, both in ability and timing. I remember being confused my wife couldn't copy and paste with her iPhone when I had a password manager. Copy and paste on iOS took way, way too long. It's interesting how you're claiming you were doing things that didn't exist for the device.
BSD is also an application desert compared to GNU/linux. It's always going to be a scale between user desires and security needs. BSD is rock solid but moves glacially slow. Most devs need more speed than that. Most users demand it. There's a reason despite the elitist attitude the Arch Illuminati take that people want Arch. It's a really stable bleeding edge release.
Apple's documentation is some of the worst most incomplete garbage I've ever had the displeasure of trying to read. When you literally need to go to third party people who just figured it out through sheer luck because features are fully undocumented and don't give tool tips, you've broken the user experience.
Not to mention Apple's habit of taking good apps and then building them into iOS to cannibalize their own developers. I don't get why anyone would want to build smartphone apps for any platform these days. Between Google and Apple it's entirely a garbage ecosystem for devs.
Huh, that's interesting. I got 80% as well but I found Robo-Trump actually was the more composed speaker with more disjointed, stuttering conversations as more an indication of him stopping to think about what he was going to say.
That's not politics. That's basically just saying don't be a jerk and say something hurtful regardless of the reason. You seem to be making a leap of judgement that etc means don't post politics at all instead of don't attack someone for their political opinion and then you're mad that on a completely different personal site he says he's against some actions and that companies need to not be okay with this. He gives no actions he's planning on taking just says that they should discuss it. He doesn't demonize someone for how they voted or their political party and even cites people from the opposing party with whom he agrees. Your position comes soon appearing like you're chomping at the bit to make anything you disagree with somehow some evil conspiracy plot where a certain segment of the population you disagree with us out to get you. You're allowed say different things at home than at work. I doubt heavily his opinions at home are solely made into policy at work in a vacuum.
You appear to have missed where RMS was supposed to have appointed a new co-maintainer without asking anyone in the current team, therefore asserting ownership of a project he was uninvolved with in what appears to a spiteful reason related to his speaking out against RMS. It's in the bottom of the message. It's weird that your response is to threaten to avoid something you've never known about before. Unless you were active in the GNU community already you wouldn't have had reason to use it, so you've not created GNU extensions, were unaware of the language and the threat you're making is that you'll avoid it.
Regardless of whether the statements are accurate, I'll hold judgement until hearing the other side though it does seem odd. I'd be curious what the prospective co-maintainer wants since he quit prior without resolving issues.
Republicans are not a lobbying group, but as a political party Americans have spent a heck of a lot of money on them, especially when you include PACs. Since you've limited it to specifically lobbying groups I don't know that the PACs qualify either. They definitely aren't as narrow either. It's certainly an interesting question.
The Republican party? Seriously Grover Norquist wants taxes to be painful so you associate them with bad feelings. They made it illegal to compete with TurboTax by offering a free piece of software from the IRS. Look up California's FreeFile software. There is nothing Republicans have done that helps taxpayers unless they make over a higher than average amount of money. I'm not even trying to be political, this has just been an arm of their platform since the 1980s. I've included a link to a podcast which goes pretty deep on this topic.
You don't sound like you have children which means you save a lot of money that way and you guys together make a metric crap ton of money compared to the average person. Sounds like you're trying a mustachioed lifestyle. I wish you all the best. $2400/mo isn't a huge housing cost btw. Especially when living in a city.
