canbus··on Noise cameras to be trialled in England to tackle ‘boy racers’
those are just the visible gases - you can't see carbon monoxide etc.
canbus··on Noise cameras to be trialled in England to tackle ‘boy racers’
relatively, i can't see someone a 50cc 2-stroke moped putting out more emissions than a huge 3-ton BMW X5 with a massive diesel engine, awd etc. which is carrying one person at any given time.

As a classic car owner with a (small) 1300cc engine who drives their car about 5 times a year I would apply the same argument :-) though maybe it'll be banned now because my car isn't as quiet as a sewing machine...

canbus··on Uses for an old Android device
which ECU? I am about to do the same for my Speeduino
canbus··on Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED
What problem do folding screens actually solve?
canbus··on Citroen 2cv pages
Scariest (and most exciting!) automotive experience I've ever had was in a 2CV, being thrown around the west german hill passes in one of those things felt like a near-death experience every corner...
canbus··on Asus Zenfone 9
there's a rude joke in there somewhere.... :-D
canbus··on The Best iPhone
Recently replaced a screen and battery on my old iphone 8 and it has become my daily driver. It works really well! I don't really think a phone needs to be any bigger than this design.
canbus··on New UK data laws could be incompatible with GDPR in the EU
fingers crossed... hopefully they actually let us back in!
canbus··on Twitter Notes
Personal blogs were invented for exactly this purpose.
canbus··on The first thing that ever sold online was pizza (2018)
I know i'm not the first or last, but the PizzaNet pizza builder just looks so functional and responsive. Why did we stray away from design like this?
canbus··on Using a "proper" camera as a webcam
> Most kit lenses are pretty bad

errrr... no they aren't. The 24-85 I have on my Nikon D600 is extremely sharp. The 18-55 on most DX Nikons is also pin sharp. For a webcam it surely doesn't even matter?

Does that mean their own servers run on Linux?
canbus··on Apple unveils the best photos from the Shot on iPhone Macro Challenge
f-stops are relative to the size of the glass + sensor. They aren't equivalent to f1.5-2.8 on an APSC or full-frame sensor.

Good satire is also often funny. This is just stupid.
canbus··on Inclusive Coding Bot on GitHub
it's a never-ending rabbithole. 'Guardian' is probably more inclusive than 'parent', even...

What I really want to know is how whoever is trying to force it deals with languages with grammatical genders.

canbus··on Inclusive Coding Bot on GitHub
That's funny, man
canbus··on Travel photos are underrated (2019)
Or even a phone, for that matter!
canbus··on Travel photos are underrated (2019)
I feel like this article has popped up just as I needed to read it as I've been debating just "living the moment" vs taking pictures as I normally would - I am going to carry on with the latter. Taking photos doesn't detract from living in the moment, it just means you can re-live it (or memories of it) a year later.
canbus··on I let a baby bird nest in my hair for 84 days
"people are saying hello to me and I don't like it"
canbus··on I let a baby bird nest in my hair for 84 days
And in other Guardian news: I bought a 2-bed flat in London (with the help of my rich parents) for ONLY £1.5million. The housing market in the UK isn't so bad after all!
canbus··on I let a baby bird nest in my hair for 84 days
Plot twist, her name is Batman!
canbus··on Windows needs a change in priorities
Maybe I use it for work? Or because WINE isn't perfect for everything that I need to use, and I don't want to spend hours trying to configure it?

What about basic users? They don't care whether they should be using KDE Plasma or a Gnome-based window manager etc - maybe they want something that 'just works'

canbus··on The Intel Core I3-12300 Review: Quad-Core Alder Lake Shines
True, but most people building a budget PC will buy this in a few years and get a used motherboard, ram etc. The CPU only needs to be in a few pre-built Dells etc. to get popular in the used market.
canbus··on C Package Manager
Another one.
canbus··on LibreOffice running natively in the browser via WebAssembly
It's working OK in Firefox for me on 97.0 (64-bit) in Win10

I like the use of GBASP hinges.
canbus··on Ten Years of ThinkPadding
Don't get me started with the 9550...
canbus··on A Pixel's Color
AI magic I guess. I'm just a hobbyist but it's given some good results for me with whatever i've thrown at it. Maybe I don't know what I'm missing out on with Lightroom but Darktable is more than good enough for my use case!
canbus··on A Pixel's Color
RIP Adobe :D Darktable is great.
canbus··on Koenigsegg's Tiny Electric Motor Makes 335 HP and 443 LB-FT of Torque
That'd be enough torque to rip my 70s british car to bits!
