Google does not reflect on what they can do better.
It's just another example of being greedy.
migadu's mail number limit does not make sense to me: This risks losing emails.
Otherwise, Google threatens manufacturers out of the Android ecosystem, and will not allow them to install Gmail, Google, etc apps.
So, there is no competition at all. Google is a monopoly.
Can they just lower the fees when they make way more than enough money?
No, they don't. They just keep making more and more money, seeing economic inequality becomes more and more a serious problem.
It's just against social good.
From my experience, Google products almost rank top in the search results without Google in the keywords.
Search "News", "Drive", "Calendar", et al.
In Google chrome, all bookmarks are under auto-completed keywords in the address bar.
Our goal is to ask others to edit some text files, not to ask them to use what tool to edit those files.

Firefox is exactly in the second scenario.
It will be easier to find jobs in Chemistry industry where CS jobs are available, like data scientist.
If you care less, community college is actually also a good choice.
For residential, Comcast only advertises download speed, leaving upload speed like 1996.
Comcast has a bad reputation but there is only 1 ISP available to my address. No competition.
How about 10ms club?
If only 5% uses 1.2TB each month, why would Comcast want to impose the cap to everyone?
Comcast has already made enough money and this move has nothing but against social good.
I am an international student from China in US. If you ever go to China, you will find how affordable Internet (or Phone Data plans) is. And it is even affordable in sparsely-populated rural areas, unlike the US rural areas I've heard of.
These big private companies are just lagging US behind and the country cannot do anything with it.
AFAIK, hacker new is moderated and only 1 article about a topic can show up on the front page.
