GPG is designed to be used by end users. It's a bit cumbersome, but you don't have to implement any algorithms, which is what I assume is meant by 'rolling your own crypto'.

I don't think they would, but neither do I know the statistic. If anyone can provide it (I couldn't), then if they would indeed vote to secede, I'll change my mind.

On the other hand, I can't sympathise with the Tibet supporters either. The issue is not as straightforward as many Westerners believe[1].

Why even put the lock on the outside? All smart locks I've encountered just communicate wirelessly with a smart lock inside. Physical keys are used as a backup.

The answer is crayons.

You can use crayons/calculators in some situations, but pens/computers usually do a much better job. Secondly crayons/calculators just help you with the mechanics rather than the meaning.
