Even Yahoo made mistakes and had everything before Google had it and it still exists in some form. Yahoo removed their Groups and Geocities sites that were very popular. Users policed their own groups for banning and censoring.

The thing is if nobody does the banning and censoring, bad stuff leaks through. Why not meta mod like Slashdot has? Have the users decide collectively and then meta mod the votes to see if it was fair.

Just upgrade to better hardware or run Ubuntu.
