which subreddits do HNers find the most useful ? I know there is many subreddit gems but it's not easy to discover them.

I love browsing those where I find excellent advices:

   https://www.reddit.com/r/awardtravel/
   https://www.reddit.com/r/financialindependence/
https://www.reddit.com/r/startups/ (I think more human than HN for advices / feedbacks )
   https://www.reddit.com/r/books/ ( found great non-mainstream books to read )

burgerquizz··on SoftBank’s plan to sell Arm to Nvidia is hitting antitrust wall around the world
I've been checking the semi conductor space. What semi companies aren't overvalued with a decent P/E ratio right now? Was thinking to just take an ETF like SMH[1], but wondering if there were a better choice. TSMC, Applied Materials, ASML, Nvidia, etc... had crazy run and I'm wondering if they can keep growing that much in the next years.

Notepad++ is written by an immigrant (non-french native) . In https://notepad-plus-plus.org/news/a-propos-du-tweet-contre-... , the photo says: "Please uninstall Notepad++ if you voted for the National Front" (he was assuming the xenophobic party)

burgerquizz··on Kubernetes: Make your services faster by removing CPU limits
Is upgrading a kernel of a docker host that straight forward? I would worry to keep everything compatible, with a lot of testing before any upgrade of this kind. It looks like they're running k8s with kops, and the fix was merged just a few weeks ago.

burgerquizz··on Ask HN: How to find work while homeless?
I've read the comments you've written on HN.

It really feels like you have a good understanding of many tech out there. I'm a bit surprised a profile like yours post this.It feels like you could easily pick up any entry level dev job? HN would always surprise me.

If I were you, I'd show up in every tech meetups I could find.Talk with people, and offer free (paid?) advices for subject you feel comfortable with. After few weeks, I think you could get a bit of money for consulting or even a job offer.

burgerquizz··on Reddit’s profane, greedy traders are shaking up the stock market
Are the effect of the coronavirus on the stock market could be opportunity for investing? The SP500 went down 8% this past 5 days. I'm wondering if that will go lower those next days.

I have a bit amount of money on the side, I didn't know where to invest. Would now be a good opportunity to lump sum all the money, or would you Dollar Cost Average?

Anyone else with the same dilemma, and would have more arguments? Or maybe an other perspective on that?

Context:

I'm away for several months (because of the coronavirus), and I struggle with receiving text message when I need to make some payments via wechat. It will be useful for bank transfer too
