I'm in the UK though, maybe it's something to do with having 230v supply?
Was helping a friend install a £40k kitchen island top and a guy from B&O came round at the same time - sharp suit, laptop, briefcase. Turned out he was out to do his 6 monthly retune of the Freeview or whatever channels on the B&O TV. Plugged the laptop into the TV, which must have been 10 years old at the time (it was one of the first fat flat screens I think), pressed some buttons then said goodbye.
Some of their audio stuff was awful, form over function, especially anything with Bluetooth. But they do look nice and again from memory stuff was upgradable, so even if you paid through the arse for a portable speaker, it would support BT5 in the future or whatever.
What exact benefits growth or knowledge wise do I get from there?
But... you can turn off notifications of new messages. However you cannot turn off notifications of replies, despite the email having an unsubscribe option at the bottom (which takes you to what is described in the paragraph above)
LI is a rats nest of dark patterns.
You need to remember Booths are probably the 'poshest' supermarket in the UK. They don't compete on price, they compete on service - I remember the first time I bought a box of eggs and the cashier checked each individually for damage.
Personally I like this - assuming they have plenty of staff on the tills.
Embedding the ads into the stream is pretty difficult.
AFAICT we had a blanket 20% off the bill, nothing special about egress.
Whereas with AWS they charge you for traffic between AWS regions last time I checked?
Note - I have a smets2 meter and think it's a good idea.
They're still around though - seen plenty of scanners in supermarkets in the UK (for the self checkout thing) that run it. God no.
The headunit was trivially easy to hack iirc - was based on an old version of Android obviously without security fixes, think it was from a website called mazdahacks? From there I had full AA without restrictions.
No idea if the site is still around but...
That's a really good point. I subscribe to YTP (costs £20 per month for 6 of us, bargain) so not an issue for me however those advertisers must be querying the value of this?
