bryckbost··on The Font-Face Firefox Fiasco
True. The fiasco is more or less around the issue of discovering the root cause of why my fonts weren't displaying properly in Firefox, when they did in webkit.
bryckbost··on Gemnasium: Ruby gem notifications, now free
A big advantage of Gemnasium is its push nature, rather than pull. You could use bundlers outdated command as well, but when you have multiple projects keeping up with that becomes burdensome.

Check out https://gemnasium.com/questions for some more details.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll be sure to get more info regarding the venue and location soon.

If you're in Chicago, come on over!

You nailed it! You could consider it a hackfest with an emphasis on finishing something you've been meaning to get around to, just haven't had the time.
bryckbost··on Scarcity of smartphone app developers stifles a growing industry in Michigan
Another article to toss in the gloom and doom pile of Michigan software industry.

Since when have rates, which are competitive in the industry, become a bad thing? Shouldn't we be praising the fact that our industry is competing with firms across the globe?

And which industry is this "stifling"? The developers, or the idea-man?

bryckbost··on Command Line Feedback from RVM and Git
Good to know. We'll work on getting it smoothed out a bit.
bryckbost··on Command Line Feedback from RVM and Git
We've wanted to make that better, just haven't found the time. Scrollbars seemed good enough for the interim.

Thanks for checking out the article.

Which browser and OS are you using? Scrolling isn't slow in webkit for myself, but I'd be happy to dig in and make it smoother if it's an issue.

bryckbost··on Tweet later with Delayed Job
Yep, it runs in the background.

`script/delayed_job` can be used to manage the process or `rake jobs:work`. Either will start working off jobs.
