I've used the Linq queries in one of my projects, but I like the QueryOver statements more (a little bit too much black magic in the Linq queries).
But I believe that it was a great effort - so let me thank you for that !

I've started using it in 2009. I am still using it in my projects, but I am still not sure if NHibernate is functional complete or if the project is nearly dead.
It works fine for me (if it is not worth the effort I am using Dapper.net), but it doesn't seem that there is much active development going on.
When working with Americans we had to sugar coat so much so noone was embarassed or we didn't step on the toes of the American workers.
Maybe this was just my experience.
Innsbruck average temperature: http://www.holiday-weather.com/innsbruck/averages/
That's pretty close to Chicago.
I don't know the current percentage, but passive houses (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive_house) are getting more and more in this area.
Not beeing in the construction business I can't give you any details how the way we insulate our houses compares to your information. Most of the houses here are built with concrete and bricks, so they're insulated differently (styrofoam, as much as I know).
The "Stern", one of the big German magazines https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stern_(magazine), took a big nosedive in quality in my opinion.
3 or 4 years ago (i am not sure when this exactly happend) they did a "redesign" - and since then many hard topics and inconvienient stories where left behind for soft topics and lifestyle articles.
I really enjoyed reading it but right now I won't bother most of the time.
They even changed their, in my opinion hilarious, but sarcastic album reviews to album reviews which sound like a rehash of the PR text from the record company.
The most important thing is the picture of the lead journalists at the end of the story and how they "connect to this story". And the guy who writes 3 pages about his cooking. And the boring "I am so edgy and showing two sides of my personality" PR interview with a celebrity. Yesterday I've read one of these interviews with the question "do you enjoy wearing suits?"
To be fair, sometimes they still have well made articles, but many times it is just boring feel-good-journalism.
Maybe it is one of the effects of losing two world wars (and beeing a neutral country), but I've never seen "support our troops" or something like that in person before.
There are some kind of army ads (I hardly see ads), some athletes are part of the army (so they earn some money and can train) and that's it in Austria.
For me there is a difference in showing an ad to "join the royal marine commando" and the expectation to partake in a "be part of the flag" / support our troops ceremony before I see a sports match. But most likely I am just a little more sensitive than most in this regard.
We'll we've got the anthems before a game in Europen sports too. But all this "support our troops" and the "be part of a big flag" thing left a bad taste in my mouth.
Even stranger if you are neither from the US or England and should partake in a show of patriotism for countries you don't really care about.
But in furniture you get what you pay for - but it has to work with your life (if you are changing your place to live every year or so I don't see the point in buying expensive furniture).
If you stay in one place (or at least are planning to do so) quality furniture which matches your rooms is great (at least for me).
The only thing I'm using Flash now any more is watching videos. Where I'm living it is sadly still the standard for some TV stations video websites.
As someone who speaks natively German, can you give me an example or a source for this ?
ß is after a long vocal, ss is after a short vocal. I don't know any regional problems with that (and I come from a region with a VERY different language than most of the German speaking people)
Boy, was this a hard process. It took some months until my system worked without GDM crashes. After that I changed over to Arch and been a happy Arch-er since than. I wouldn't recommend running testing.
I've heard that unstable is more like Arch linux and the rolling release model of Arch Linux works very well for me.
MusicBee has some kind of band shot next to each band name. It is nice - but in my list most of the bands are 3 to 5 dudes, so you can't really recognize the bands with the headshot.
But I am definitely the hoarder type from his characterization - so his music player is most definitely not the one for me.
Great CPU - still running and more than fast enough for my recording needs (maximum 16 tracks per take - about 20 tracks per song)
