I'm not sure about HTMX, but this kind of behaviour is what Unpoly https://unpoly.com/ excels at

I played with it recently and it was pretty easy to enhance a completely non-js CRUD type app and have it fall-back gracefully. Seems a similar concept to HTMX but has a more batteries included / high-level approach.

Yet another alumni. UKC also had the lecturer who wrote the text book for functional programming - Simon Thompson - Haskell The Craft of Functional Programming (I think!). It was used at other unis including Durham.

Incidentally, I now live nearer to Holy Island with it's disappearing causeway, which is mentioned elsewhere in the thread. Would definitely recommend a visit as it can be stunning in the right weather.

As an alternative to ffmpeg, GStreamer provides hardware accelerated MJPEG decoding on the Pi. I think there are bugs, though, which makes it unsuitable for some use cases. Here's an example pipeline - https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?p=1989575#p1989...
