briggsly··on Show HN: FoundersList – Looking for a cofounder or a new startup to work on?
This feels more PlentyofFish rather than Tinder.

Is there more of a tinder version? Just dump two people into a shared video chat and pair programming session to just start building something with someone?

Not code-roulette, but paired like founders list here. Just less reading and more connecting.

Or a shared repl, Jupyter notebook, or Google doc/sheet/slides for collab.

Anything closer to something like that exist?

Simple workaround. Copy the article title and paste it into a Google search. When Google is the referrer, they drop the paywall [1]. For NYTimes and WSJ articles, this works almost every time.

briggsly··on An Airbnb for Dogs Gets $3.4 Million in Funding
Que? I would love to find some sweet old lady to watch my dogs for free rather than pay $25-50/night to board my dog in a box not much bigger than my CPU. I would pay a nice commission to the site to connect me with such a benevolent, non-crazy old lady such as this (if it does in fact exist).
briggsly··on What's the best e-learning platform (SaaS) for instructor-led courses?
What subjects/context? University-type courses (MIT's opencourseware)? Or high-school and beyond (Khan academy)? Or software/programming (Lynda for design, some programming; good luck otherwise). I'd personally be interested in video-based programming tuts that go beyond "well, here's the install and the equivalent of the first 3 chapters of any book on the topic."
