Are there plans to release other site optimization widgets?
Also, any plans for a Mac app?
This will be enormously helpful to me. I hope they expand to other types of customer related emails.
Too early for that kid of trust.
I'll try again when I get home.
I will say the dark theme isn't doing it for me though. A light, clean look would be better. Hope that feed back helps.
That site gets a good amount of traffic, but if that type of site is not your intent, I would try to leverage the look of your site and it's content to guide people in that direction.
-To increase legibility, I would make the background image more transparent. The higher contrast will make it easier to read.
-Bring the content on top down a little bit, and bring the content on the bottom up higher.
-The animation on the rotating text is way too slow. Speed it up a bit.
-I would line up the large display text with the content on the bottom. Or center it. Right now it's kind of somewhere in between and it looks awkward.
Great start tho. Clean, direct and responsive. I hope this feedback helps.
I had a similar add-friend-then-add-thing UX idea for a personal project with a different goal.
Once you have the process figured out, you could start auto suggesting venues and dates that have been entered by others, just as you currently auto-fill bands that have already been entered.
Also, if there were a way to allow people to add bands, dates and venues to the DB that they haven't seen just to help out, that would be a good way of gathering as well.
I'm sure you have already thought of hundreds of things you can do with it, including what I've suggested. I'm just focused on the search and collect aspect because it is such a large pain point begging to be cured.
Even if you manually created your own database for the dates, that would be a great start. It would be nice to select a band, then a location and be presented with a list of dates and venues they have performed at.
Also, there's a lot of bands missing from the auto-fill. Does that update as people continue to add more bands?
This is a great start.
How are the backups performed? What does the interface look like on phone, desktop?
Looks great though.
