braho··on EU chief opens door for Canada to become 'associate member'
US shifting accountability of their choices on account of some mess of others. ‘We had no other choice because you can’t take care of it yourself’

Thats exactly the narrative the rest of the world doesnt take anymore.

braho··on EU chief opens door for Canada to become 'associate member'
It can be stronger if you consider more than economic terms. Both sides losing gdp has demonstrated the value of collaboration, which was too implicit, and every eurosceptic party on mainland eu has shifted from ‘we should leave’ to ‘we should reform from within’
braho··on Suspected sabotage causes major Netherlands rail disruption
Protests draw attention to your cause. This doesn't draw attention to anything, it is straightforward sabotage. Neither is it in line with how typical protestors operated before.

You are jumping to the assumption that foreign agents wouldn't be exposed, but any willing idiot can be bought to conduct such activity. Recent research in Denmark showed that sabotage comes, most likely, from locals, persuaded by foreign actors.

So two things could be true at once. A local 'protestor', disengaged through some issue (whether climate, farming or anything else), persuaded to join some 'resistance' by anyone.

I don't expect this to be supported by local protesting groups, like FDF or XR, either. Way too risky, media-wise.

braho··on AMD MicroBlaze V Processor: A Flexible and Efficient RISC-V Processor
Note that they were talking about _assembly_ code paths and parent explicitly mentioned using anything else then assembly would give you more portability.
braho··on How Does an FPGA Work?
Even though the FPGA fabric might encode the solution more effectively, there are other important differentiators: clock speed and memory bandwidth. GPUs have higher clock speeds and typically better memory bandwidth (related of course).

With the higher clock speed, GPUs can well outperform FPGAs for many problems.

braho··on Samsung “space zoom” moon shots are fake, and here is the proof
I guess there is some AI algorithm that does zoom as postprocessing. That AI knows the moon so it can fill in the blanks and compensate for a (relatively) crappy sensor.

So in the future, there are either cameras that can see what others have seen before, and those that can truly capture new, true, detail (true as in, without filling it with estimations)

braho··on Swimlanes.io – generated editable sequence diagrams
I second this.

I have been using sequence diagrams a lot for embedded or real-time systems a lot last year, and travel time is important there.

Besides, it allows to have one diagram abstract from another, without modifying execution times.

braho··on I Love Coding on Linux
AutoHotkey seems to work for me
braho··on Double Entry Accounting for Developers
Not only is Martin Blais' explanation very helpful, his software, Beancount, is also very suitable for any personal finance projects, especially if you have a background as Developer.

Personally, I combine beancount with fava and find it much better than e.g. GnuCash.
