bowmessage··on Kalshi CEO expects US DOJ to prosecute insider trading cases
Agreed. So who are the outsider chumps taking the other ends of these bets? At this point, it doesn’t make sense to participate unless you’re an insider.

Nice - if you can find a Redbox in your area, they seem to allow _very_ long rental periods these days :)

Why did you allow them to humiliate you like this?
bowmessage··on Danish pension fund divesting US Treasuries

The omega6:3 ratio and PUFA content of tallow is favorable.

Canola and other seed oils are made using toxic solvents which are not full removed from the final product.

bowmessage··on Is beef tallow making a comeback?
I don’t particularly trust any claims from previous administrations’ health departments, let alone this one.

Politics aside, the omega6:3 ratio and PUFA content of tallow is favorable.

bowmessage··on Is beef tallow making a comeback?
Beef tallow has a favorable omega 6 to omega 3 ratio and low levels of PUFAs, compared to seed oils and other cooking fats.

I recommend reading the article.

bowmessage··on Is beef tallow making a comeback?
Remove whatever politics you might believe from the equation.

Is beef tallow a better option for a cooking fat? I think it is.

bowmessage··on Titanic's sister, Britannic, sank in 1916. Divers have recovered artifacts

bowmessage··on Titanic's sister, Britannic, sank in 1916. Divers have recovered artifacts
Fascinating!

In the header image, the interesting gray-bar informational panel placed on the wreck caught my eye. I wonder what it's for?

I assume it's to calibrate scale and color for the underwater photography equipment, but would be interested to learn more from someone who knows for certain.

Per the comment, he doesn’t have to, all prior written text is nicely stored in a file (probably an org file), already open in emacs.
