When it comes to meat production, it operates quite differently from legumes like lentils. Meat production primarily relies on the consumption of feed by animals, such as cows, pigs, or chickens. These animals don't have the nitrogen-fixing capabilities found in legumes. Instead, they require protein-rich diets, often in the form of soybean meal or other crops.
The issue arises because these animals, during digestion, release a significant amount of nitrogen into the environment in the form of ammonia and other nitrogen compounds. This process is known as nitrogen excretion. Unlike legumes, which enrich the soil with nitrogen, meat production can lead to nitrogen pollution when excess nitrogen is not properly managed. This pollution can harm water quality and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, making it less environmentally sustainable compared to legume cultivation.
I’ve been thinking about building a tool like this for fun. Does the code run inside a Docker container? I’ve been looking at Firecracker VMs for sandboxing which seems pretty cool
Maybe build a chat app with TCP and UDP. Deploy it on a VM behind a reverse proxy like NGINX. Run the app in Docker or on the VM and setup iptables.
That could be a great summer project. If you want to do low level stuff, Beej is king. You could implement a DNS server. It’s not too terrible.
Went viral 2 weeks ago, high quality
I ask because building a simple p2p app is built on top of the foundational stuff.
I feel like right now it’s more of a who you know situation and less of a what you know. You’re in Oakland, CA, which is the land of networking. Good ops to squeeze into some role. Don’t be too picky and you can morph into whatever you find passion for.
Btw, neat projects!
Aside from this, I basically just rely on things like cntrl + p for search, various bash/shell scripting + chatgpt to be efficient. Always improving!
