How would you design the Stack Overflow website?

Ironically saying to use a monolith an on-prem servers would never allow you to pass an interview.

Not sure why the default is to add insane auto load balancing redundancy with sharding, per service isolation and Kafka as a default for most services when something pretty simple with some cheap commodity hardware would suffice
