I will think how to approach this if I choose to do. I do not feel motivated to go into the political space - which is why I prefer a technology-focused approach. I will sit on these thoughts and see if I can come up with something I am comfortable taking on - thanks again!
This was more-so a thought of making the expenses of running a school cheaper, rather than teaching in a new way. I do like your enthusiasm, but let me think about this and how I feel about possibly pursuing this avenue!
We want opposite things that can't co-exist, or can they? I'm certainly not for this, not one bit.
My intention was not to reduce the need of developers, but the staff that has seemingly continued to raise tuition rates for students.
Yes, 5-10 minutes is quicker, but it's not about spending _less_ time with God, that's not the point of mass.
I mean no disrespect, I'm sure it took some time to build, but the alternatives are popular and they are free (Steam/Discord). The only part that I would consider is finding new games, but there is usually enough media coverage that I don't have to look for.
I'm sorry, just that's my opinion. I thought it would be helpful to share.
In all parts of our lives, we may feel threatened or anxious and so we do things to take control or push others away. The fact that he couldn't share the stage with you shows more of him than it does you.
You both hopefully learned some things, but the point of the matter is to not take this stuff personally - it was meant to be this way. Learn from the past, but don't dwell on it. We all have a future ahead of us.
I feel though a standard of sending money is a little too similar for paying a vendor. I'd personally prefer companies to handle this than a recommendation, because who is to say my payment details are saved and then a malicious script sends the bad actor my money?
I also would like help understanding what $ units gives? The command looks to be "units", but where do the numbers he entered in come from? I would appreciate this extra context.
This has nothing to do with the app, but the risk tolerance of those involved.
Yes, in the sense of you need a list of everything you need to do, then you need to delegate because that's too many things for one person.
No, I think that keeping your list written down/stored somewhere offloads your brain to focus more on your task at hand then remembering all you need to do.
Try to convince the people that have this power, and then leave it up to the organization. With the best intentions, some companies will not change due to ignorance, fear, resources or culture.
If you are asking the question, yes, it's probably too late.
The belief that masks are controversion speaks more to the individual than the disease itself. People don't want to wear a mask because:
1) It infringes on their freedoms 2) They may have conditions such as claustrophobia which makes them very anxious and may trigger panic attacks 3) Ignorance, not keeping up with the news on their effectiveness 4) Belief that they can't get sick 5) May not have enough money or resources to make a mask
While the reasons are varied, I've mostly found #1 to be the case. Speaking to that, if you feel your freedoms are being limited in a pandemic, and that causes you to protest, is more of an emotional response than anything. Best not to argue with people who hold this view because you can't change their emotions on the topic. Better to maintain distance from them like everyone else to keep your family safe.
It's sad, but it's not new news.
This is just another overly hyped "business" that wasn't meant to pan out.
Eventually, you learn and get good practices in memory that you can start writing production code before you ever get to step 4. This is how I see developers gain experience
What's your position, what does this offer instead of a web-hosting solution, is it security, privacy? I like the thought of it being hosted outside of a pre-packaged vendor but that's only to satisfy my desire to help the underdogs above anything else.
It takes different forms, different paths for everyone. Not everyone goes down the same path. I think the best question/mindset you should start to think is this is a life with many people. You are only one piece of that puzzle, try working on your empathy first. You don't seem judgemental, but consider how others are feeling when you talk with them, listen to them more closely. Put your thoughts and replies before them, make _them_ the more important person in the conversation. (Again, not saying you are judgemental, but just in general).
Eventually, this desire to help others before yourself grows; it becomes your default response. With this, I've felt myself grow more humbler, more understanding of others and less judgemental. What you may experience is just this greater joy - helping others is giving you this happiness that nothing else gives.
At this stage, you typically start to realize bad habits you may have, distractions. We as people distract ourselves with a myriad of things in order to avoid feelings or situations. Try to uncover that, dig deep down and look at and help heal your hurts. This will likely take time and a change of behavior if you have them, but it's well worth it. Once you feel you have a good handling of this, you might start to notice others who have their own hurts. As you speak to them and gain trust with them, bring it up from time to time (if you are close), you may have an opportunity to heal them (which in of itself really makes you feel like you are doing good with your life).
If you read this, please do not be dismissive of what I am about to say, but without my belief in God - I really wouldn't know what I'm doing here. Honestly, even _in_ my belief I still very much question my purpose here on Earth. With everything else I have said up above, there was still this piece of my heart that felt like it was missing, and no matter what, nothing could fill in that gap. Point being, even though I still feel lost often, knowing and believing in God, makes me feel better that the path I'm on is on a purpose for God and for others I meet, touch, and heal along the way.
I hope this message helps you along. If you have any questions, feel free to respond.
