bmuppireddy··on The Worst Mistake in the History of the Human Race (1987)
It is not a mistake, silly. It is evolution. There are is no right / wrong in evolution. Each is a step out of countless (metaphorically) possibilities played out.

Maybe, it is unfair to call it a mistake without knowing what life would have been at this point in time (or say in future.).

bmuppireddy··on Ask HN: How HN helps you?
I have started reading/using HN from the last 2 months. Here are my takeaways from it.

1.I get to pick and read the highly approved news in the areas of my interest. It cuts down the time I need to spend on other sites. 2. I get curated news from other subjects which I can choose to ignore or sometimes get high level insight into it if it interested me. 3. Because of the quality of readers in HN, it kind of points what is important and what is not. 4. Last and the most important aspect is the comments section which adds more value than the topic.

To capture the gist, the signal to noise ration is high in HN which helps my time.

I was just wondering if building bridges is more feasible idea than digging tunnels. Bridges will be easier to maintain, costs relatively cheaper, relatively easier to setup and we already have more experience in building bridges.

bmuppireddy··on Ask HN: What's the best way to occupy time that's not learning?
Spend some quality time with your family. If you have kids, then spend more time with them. Whatever time you allocate to them is never too much.
