1) I am thinking about a web-app for now. 2) eBay's private listings is different. All the users can bid in an eBay auction. In eBay's private listings, just the username is kept confidential. Whereas with my app, only the users invited will be able to bid.

You talked about element of trust/enforcement. The one who is creating the auction is inviting people by their email. So, he will invite only those people who he trusts.

I went ahead and created a free account in assertible. This is definitely doing what I want (test a simple GET rest api call). I will check further (if it is notifying me when a call fails).

@Others: One minor point to note here is that the free account allows only one hour Scheduled Monitoring, not more frequently.

I am using Node.js express. I am not worried about what the actual error is. I will figure out if the tool just tells me that the REST API call is failing.

Regarding POSTing a new user every 5 mins, I will not test such an API call. I will test a simple GET call which does not need any authentication.

So, I am looking for a simple tool that takes my GET API request, calls it every n minutes, and notifies me if the api request fails.

I will think about it. All the Facebook pages that I have seen post only pictures, not any text (definitely not important text). Can you let me know what type of pages(or which pages) post text?

I assumed that the text is not important. I am showing only the pictures. I wanted to have something like Instagram for Facebook Pages. Do you think the text is important?

2nd dependency, Facebook deciding that the app violates their intent, I never thought it. If Facebook in fact does that, I don't think I can do anything about it.

1st dependency, dependency on mobile devices, yeah, I regret starting with the mobile app. Though this is a hybrid app, considering the time that I can spend on this and my pace, I might take nearly a month to make a web app. And now, I am not sure if I should go ahead and release the Android version, or work on the web app and release web app first. Any suggestions?

As the app is a hybrid app, ready for its release only on Android platform, I am uncertain on how many will actually try it out when posted in Show HN. What do you think?
