binarycheese··on Who Killed the Junior Developer?
Then you will need two senior devs. This is because rockstar devs rarely want to mentor junior devs nor attend meetings. Most inventors are not professors.

Now let's just cross fingers and hope the US will adopt the metric system
binarycheese··on We only hire the trendiest
"Contractors are generally not the strongest technically"

Nonesense. Contractors are actually much stronger technically because they usually come in to complete a specific task and are not usually trained by the company.

At least that is my experience here on the east coast.

binarycheese··on We only hire the trendiest
Contractors get paid way more in the US especially on the East Coast because they usually have to take care of their own benefits and taxes
binarycheese··on Will Robots Inherit the Earth? (1994)
Yes, if you mean vs humans.

Mars is the only planet known to be inhabited entirely by robots

binarycheese··on Don't Talk to Corp Dev
" I would also consider the effects that knowledge of an explored-but-abandoned acquisition would have on your employees' motivation if they found out"

excellent point.

binarycheese··on A sealed bottle garden thriving after 40 years without fresh air or water
What if we build a huge sealed bottle garden and send to Mars, can humans live in it!

Just out of curiosity, what language/platform is Google Play running on?
binarycheese··on Nexus 4 available for purchase again today at 12pm PST
Nope. I have been there for an hour, still can't buy it.
binarycheese··on Google connects Play Store with Google+, reviews will feature name and picture
Because a lot of times "Tom Jones in Skokie, IL" is actually a competitor going around giving everyone else a negative review
binarycheese··on Google connects Play Store with Google+, reviews will feature name and picture
There is no such a thing as a negative "honest" review. Competitors (and clueless users) always pile up negative reviews while companies with huge budgets add fake "positive" reviews
binarycheese··on Google connects Play Store with Google+, reviews will feature name and picture
What if you downloaded an app that you thought it was what you were looking for (without actually reading the app description), will you still rate it a "1 star"?
binarycheese··on Google connects Play Store with Google+, reviews will feature name and picture
You are really on point. recently, one of my apps "Cooking Conversions" was featured on Amazon "Free App of the Day". Can you imagine my app got "1-star" reviews because "there are too many conversions" and also because "it is not a game". http://www.amazon.com/WhichMan-INC-Cooking-Conversions/produ...

binarycheese··on What Happens to Stolen Bicycles?
"Just because the risk of a crime is zero, that doesn’t mean that a criminal will engage in that crime. If that were the case, thieves would go about stealing dandelions and day-old newspapers"

Now, that's classic.

binarycheese··on Microsoft’s Downfall: Inside the Cannibalistic Culture That Felled a Tech Giant
"I disagree. I think they have a wealth of talented engineers."

That statement is false in many ways. As a developer, you keep seeing substandard products from Microsoft. Have you looked at the architecture of SharePoint? compare SqlServer CE to SQLite, not to mention the horrible tutorials and source code which Microsoft keeps putting out.

C#/.NET is an excellent platform/language but Microsoft keeps putting out horrible sub standard code/tutorials

"One difference between science and math is that you can't prove anything "correct" in science."

binarycheese··on Peter Thiel's unexpected job requirement
Actually there is a difference: Employees from Top Tier universities make better slaves .i.e. They have been trained to "Do as you are told" (no creativity allowed), and "Wait for your turn"
